People slag of the style of play but in these matches i dont get to worked up about it cause they have a lot of dangerous players,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
the first half was so encouraging though. we matched them. we were looking so dangerous that there were a couple of times where they were too nervy to even play it out of their half.
and then the 2nd half it just all went to shti.
worst performance since brighton i thought, but there have been plenty of good ones as well so good reasons to be positive.
i think we'd have been up by half time yesterday if one of the others had been playing over bergwijn.

pfff im not sure Bale and Lucas would have done a lot better in terms of taking their chances.
that 3rd attacker in the three is a weakness in the side at the moment.
Was not the best performance yesterday. Some players not quite at the level they were vs City, and although no one had a bad game really, the likes of Ndombele and Kane didnt contribute half as much.
It was a tense game and you could see the way that CFC set up and played that they didnt want to lose. We caught them 2 or three times on the counter in the 1st half and that was good enough to keep them very wary of our threat. But in the second half we were too passive and lacked a bit of quality on the ball.
Play poorly, draw at Stamford Bridge, Top of the league.....will take that all day long.
If we can maintain a 2 pts average through these tougher games - City, CFC, Arsenal, LFC, Leicester, Wolves then we will be doing ok and well placed when we come through this run.

good first half display imo but shocking 2nd really. However Chelsea relied so much on crosses in the box for chances and only had 3 shots on target, XG of like 1 i think. On the balance of play you'd think they were all over us and peppering the goal with chances, but that wasnt the case. We also looked more likely to score first half.
People slag of the style of play but in these matches i dont get to worked up about it cause they have a lot of dangerous players, and you see Jose doing this after the West Ham and Newcastle games when we were free flowing and good to watch but in the end didnt get a good enough result. On the balance we have deserved the points total we have amassed so far and at the end of the day thats good enough to be top of the league, so happy days.
I thought Rodon was good bar 2 mistakes, however in that sort of game we really miss the Toby long balls.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mourinho had our defence set up really tight, disciplined.
Aurier had a blinder, Reguilon was good, always a threat although he got beat sometimes, Dier did his job and Rodon made mistakes but stuck to the task. His blunder at the end nearly cost us.
Sissoko is key to plugging up any defence leaks, he was everywhere backing up Aurier and Rodon.
Overall, this was a Mourinho game plan very well executed.
And if Bergwijn had his shooting boot on, we've have nicked the game.
Guys, just chill and lay off that slagging off will you?
Chelsea's squad is worth millions and our best player, PEH cost us roughly after exchange and taking tax away, around £3m!
Not bad outcome when you think of it

Only on my old white fivers.
I will take this style of football if it means great players like Kane, Bale, Son, Toby, Lucas get a trophy from their time at Spurs.
You can see Jose demands absolutely everything from them and that it is a short to Medium term trick - no way Jose will be our manager in 3 seasons time. Let’s just enjoy the results now.

I am sure as the season progresses, and in certain games you will see plenty of decent football and goals galore. But Jose is trying to win a title and other trophies, so will do whatever it takes to do that.

The suspense continues....Will the dust ever settled, will Spurs win a trophy this year?
Will the ADMINS on here ever let me back on the Arsenal board?
really need to make sure that we beat arsenal next week. its a bit banana skinny. they are shiiiiite, but its the kind of game they probably need. we are also awayin Europa on Thursday in an important game, and they are at home having already qualified.
went top of the league narrowly after a win at west brom... if you had told me we would be top two games later having played Chelsea and city then i would have snapped your hands off....
win in NLD keeps us top

Chronic, I am absolutely more worried about this game, than the Chelsea game. They are getting slated right, left and centre, so will want to prove a point. Spurs are much better than them all over the pitch, but it is a Derby, and anything could happen.
Three points in this game would be an absolute brilliant outcome.
Not sure Thursday will have to much bearing, as Spurs are capable of putting out a completely different XI, and still winning in Austria.
my application is going into the ballot today so hopefully i will be there cheering the boys to another NLD victory

Failure to win the NLD on Sunday will be a real hammer blow to title chances - we are facing the worst Arsenal side in 3 or 4 decades and we need the 3 points badly.

Spurs will still be within three points of the top, even if they lost and all the other teams win. Get a grip fella.
