Not being had that fans don't make a difference in games like that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly.
But only southern teams are allowed them.
That simply isn't fair.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Am sorry but Chelsea Ladies sounding like they are being shaaaagged by there dads wasn't a factor in the game just really annoying.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You don't think having a crowd there inspired the Chelsea players?
You think the extra reaction to decisions from the home crowd doesn't add pressure on to the referee?
Sorry, disagree Battywack. Having your fans there helps.
Battywack - not saying the result would have been different, just saying it has to be the same for all teams.

It does highlight the difference in player quality. One on one, we struggled whereas their players were comfortable in possession. Be interested to see player ratings.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed, the number of times one of ours tried to beat one of theirs and it was their man who emerged with the ball
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes exactly what I meant, which is why I was surprised to see Jack come off. Mind you, when on the right, Poveda can go round men but Bielsa moved him over to the left and he struggled.
It would be a mistake to try to blame this defeat on them having 2000 fans in the stadium. I don't recall any big decisions going their way really. Re the Poveda penalty, I don't think even our lads appealed for it did they?

Not blaming the defeat on it. They were better than us and deserved the win.
Stevie Wonder could see that it is patently unfair to allow fans back for some and not all.
Anyway onwards and upwards - cheers Highland , cheers lads and lasses.
For once in my life, I’ve got to agree with you!
I wouldn't beat yourselves up too much about it.
Personally I thought you did pretty well and had me worried on occasions.
You're one of the better and more entertaining (certainly more entertaining than $purs last week) teams we've played!
I don't see you having any problem staying up, so plenty for you to be +ve about.
After being nice to you I'm now going to wash my mouth out with dettol.
Looking on MOTD I can’t see how that penalty wasn’t given. If we are to have video refs then they have to be able to act retrospectively if a player is fouled and doesn’t go down. Im not 100% sure but I’m fairly certain I’ve seen goals ruled out after var has seen a foul earlier in the move.
2-2 at that point would have been game over I think.
Chelsea are good though. Even though we had more possession it wasn’t as far up the pitch as normal for us.

Thanks mate. Deserved win for you tonight. A newly promoted team against one of the best in the world. No shame

great 1st half, chelsea took over the 2nd half
1 stat i did notice, since 2004 chelsea have spent £640m on playing staff, we have spent £185m, this does not include wages, says it all
again we did ourselves proud

Stoopo, I've said a few times here that VAR would call play back when something happens, and when they aren't sure they will contact the Ref and say I think you should look at it!..
But, VAR is still in the early stages by you's, so maybe they will get it right eventually, its just between them doing that and now there'll be a lot more shouts like last nights!..
And they still get some shouts wrong over here!..
