45 minute run-outs for Sibley, Ibe and Stretton yesterday suggests that none of them will start the game. How can we score more goals? If Lawrence is fit could try him at 10 with Joz and Waghorn wide, or maybe Knight and Holmes both playing ahead of Bielik:
Marshall
Byrne Wisdom Clarke Buchanan
Bielik
Knight Holmes
Jozwiak CKR Lawrence
The current 5 subs rule means we can more comfortably plan to give a couple of players only 45 mins from the start as long as it isn't felt changes will disrupt things too much so I don't think them playing 45 the other day rules them out of starting if the plan is to take them off at the break.
I still think Wisdom has too many lapses in concentration to play at the back, and we might find him more suited to playing alongside Bielik.
We need to stop being so stubborn over selection of MtW unless he's actually banned for reasons not made public as the lack of experienced defensive cover even on the bench is going to be our undoing at some point and he could provide strong leadership when CKR inevitably tires.
I'd be tempted to throw Duncan in the deep end, show him the level he needs to step up to, would be a better bet than MW who has looks disinterested half the time.

Rameses was right (amongst others) when he pointed out that the match thread had gone a wonderin' with too much nonsense.
But now it is all formations and U23 prospects. Can anyone remember the last funny bit?
Am off for a few days anyway but come on chaps. I have nothing to offer, not blaming anyone but we do need a shift in the mood..........đ

I don’t think we will be seeing Duncan for a while, he doesn’t even get into the Under 23s. When did he last have a game?

It's straw grasping time, something all fans seem to do. I remember after a run of poor results under Nigel Clough when we contributed to the BBC606 message board, fans were saying we should pick Whitbread despite all evidence of what he had played like in previous appearances.
Suggesting MtW and Duncan as our saviours is the triumph of hope over common sense. I haven't seen anything from MtW to suggest that he can play and haven't seen anything of Duncan full stop. Think he was brought in to replace Anya.
Why do fans say a player looks disinterested when they mean uninterested? Not that I think Waghorn looks uninterested. I just don't think he is any good as a striker. Too profligate with his chances and offside too often.
I imagine they say it just to get a rise out of you Spart, and it works every time. It’s said that you can never catch a wily old carp with the same bait twice, but you can dangle the same weary owd maggot in front of Spart’s nose and he chomps it down every time.
Carp > Spart.

Morning all,
Keep the flame of hope burning. We will turn the corner and get a couple of goals. Maybe this evening is the time. I'm happy to leave team selection to Wayne and his team and will sit back with a drink of something relaxing before stress levels rise too far. Who knows, our lads might get some early success to prevent the rise in stress to even begin. Forest winning might prove the spur, though I think they don't need a spur, more an injunction to take more care to put the ball into the net when chances are created.
COYR.
Good job you said it was 5.30pm kick off. I'd have tuned in at 7.45 and it'd all be over.
The eternal optimist in me says the tide has to turn. I honestly believe our players are better then they're showing although we've shown a bit more steel of late. I'm therefore hoping for a couple of Derby goals tonight. There are no stand out teams in our league this season IMO so all teams are beatable. Lets hope our first home win is therefore tonight.
Final third as ever is the main issue....not enough chances created and too much "after you Cuthbert...no after you Claud"...instead of just belting the ball into the net. Fingers crossed for tonight.
Hey everyone lookin forward to lunchtime k.o. think a point would be good, three much better but will take what we can get. COYR

Like the team, but still can't decide on a prediction. Might just play safe and plump for the draw. đ¤
Bench looks weak. Holmes becomes our most experienced attacking option off the bench.
