Looks like a total waste of time at the moment. I would start him against Stoke and see if he can get some form

Agreed let's bring back Erikson and Modric too

Was some convo over last couple years about us breaking back to bring him back and I was always against it. For the fee and the wages it made no sense. The loan makes more sense but at the moment he looks awful.

People are writing him up when he’s not even started two games in a row yet.

Bale needs to be playing for a team that likes to attack, not a team that gives up possession and plays on the counter.

Dominate the ball and you would see more of a contribution from Bale. Bale is feeding off long hopeful punts up the pitch, drop Sissoko, replace with a footballer and we would see a marked improvement of our ability to keep the ball / utilize Bale.

Bales pace has gone, but he would still be a fantastic goal scorer and creator if we played a style of football that can get the ball to him.

I think Billy has a point, players lie Bale, Kane, Son, N’Dombele, Lo Celso, Moura & Bergwijn and even Reguilon are going to thrive more on attacking play consistently.

Our play out from the back is woefully slow, which means teams have time to regroup and settle.

We need to be on the front foot a lot more, this sitting back and hoping for a counter is not suited to most of our players. It is only because we have two World Class players in Kane and Son that it has worked at all.

I would still like to think Bale might come good enough for you to want to take him off our hands, but what you’ve seen so far is the long and short of what he’s been at Madrid for the past few seasons, and was starting to resemble even before his famous sub appearance vs Liverpool in the CL final.

I don’t think you’ll see anything close to the player most of you hoped when the loan deal was finalised, but I’m pretty sure he does still have a bit that big moment magic left in him. That’s the best you can hope for now, imo.
