I really don't understand how its classed as a good thing that Bielsa doesn't change his approach no matter who they play? Every man and his dog knew what United would do and they played their usual way and played right into Oles hands. I don't get how that's admired?

100% agreed. They’re not Barca of 2011. They’re simply not good enough to be that stubborn.
I get they’ll score goals and are amusing to watch for a neutral, but they won’t succeed for long playing like that.
==============
Depends how you define success I guess. Most newly promoted sides just want to stay up , I’d imagine a club of Leeds size probably looking for a solid mid table finish this year. Traditionally scoring goals is a major problem for newly promoted teams, not Leeds. Their style and ethos is likely (imo) to get them that mid table finish and they’ll be entertaining in the process.
Whether it can or will work longer term as they attract better players, which will happen as they become seen as an established epl team, I’m slightly more skeptical of. Can’t deny that I’m interested in finding out though.
5 entertainment ,yes Leeds could have conceded more, but then so could Man U.
It was odd... I've never before seen a team at 4-0 down and then 6-1 down still being praised for their tactics, even though those tactics had led them to that scoreline.
More of the same for the away leg please
My only surprise was how we are just a more conservative version of them. We play their style so we could easily counter them.
They're praised because they're bold, adventurous and don't give a fack who they're playing. For a newly promoted side I think it's pretty cool.
I reckon bielsa will change his ways next season, if they're still in the PL, or may even change them sooner.
So many fans complain that their team is boring when they're playing turgid football, battling for a point.
Cant really say that about Leeds, so far.
Bielsa is a nutcase
But if I was a Leeds fan I'd rather see them having a go than scraping points here and there playing negative football.
They'll stay up easily but they'll be on the end of more results like yesterday too.
They're just a better version of Holloways Blackpool

Rather than change the approach I think they'll be in a position to buy some better players next season that can be stronger defensively in the same system.
In addition to being bold and adventurous there is a consultancy about their approach throughout their games. Whether they are ahead or 4-0 behind the players moral doesn't drop, and they don't let off the gas. I think they way Bielsa has coached them is that every attack it a fresh and independent of the result, so play as if it is 0-0
They deserve praise in the overall context of a season (if they stay up)... but it is the praise while they are taking a drubbing that is a head scratcher.
I kind of respect what they try to do, but really it is naive beyond belief. The only team who has set up like that at OT against us in recent years are Pep's City at their prime.
Don't know what to make of Bielsa. I know how respected he is and everything. But yesterday - I'm sorry, it is really poor management as far as I'm concerned.
6-2 slightly flatters you as Leeds could have scored as many...although you had other chances
Leeds have been found out a bit lately...our 2000 fans we had v then were priceless in intimidating them too
Work to do there...high tempo football goes only so far in the Prem
Give me bielsa over a Jose and big Sam any day

His knees will be shot to bits soon too...if not already
It was a farce how he got into the top 3 managers of the year.
You’d think he was the 1st manager to ever get promoted.

If everyone took their chances it would have been 12-4 people go on like Leeds deserved a draw, they didn't.

Flattered us? Did you watch the game.
We could and should have scored at least 11,12 goals, based on the ridiculously easy chances we squandered.
Could have conceded 5 or 6 as well mind.

We could and should have been in double figures ffs
I only saw the highlights but when assessing Leeds based on yesterday it’s worth remembering two things; firstly they defended appallingly. From what I’ve seen they’ve defended much better than that before and will do again.
Secondly, Utd were very good indeed. As motd showed, the intelligence of Bruno really exploited the Leeds tactics and left massive holes. Not every team has a Bruno or indeed the quality of player to capitalise.
Take it from an Arsenal fan. There's a lot said for simply going all out and taking an average amount of points. We're next to each other in the table but my word I'd rather some football to at least get excited amount (Leeds are also doing this with a newly promoted squad)
I think they could be successful playing like that if they continue now to improve the team, I think it’s amazing he’s got the players he has playing that way in the first place. It didn’t work yesterday as too many of them were out of shape, but when it works, it’s brilliant to watch and something new. Must be very draining mentally to play it though, it’s such a complex system.

Yeah, we battered them. What surprised me was that they were so easy to play round in midfield. Might have been different with Pogba or Matic in there, dunno.
