I say you are overly pessimistic. Yes we have been poor so far this season but we won't get relegated. There are worse teams. Arteta will likely get to the end of the season to prove himself I reckon
Think you'll finish mid-table.
Arteta had done well initially, though whether that was the new manager's bounce coupled with Aubameyang's form and Martinez or down to his ability is still in the air.
I'd say the key problem is recruitment and of selling players. There are quite a few players who should be sold. And they need to be replaced by better players. You're kinda getting players that don't improve much on what you have. And some are head scratching really. Like Willian, Mari, Cedric, or Saliba to name some recent ones.
Can you please keep Arteta around like a bad smell...just like you did with Wenger please
Do you want any of our cast off players this window...?
Ta lots
I must admit, that showing was as bad as I've seen from any team for the majority of that game yesterday. Only about 20 minutes of that game Arsenal went toe to toe with City but other than that, both teams looked lightyears apart.
The defending for the first goal was nothin short of woeful and so many occasions balls were bouncing, pinging around in the box etc. That is as bad as I have seen from an Arsenal side in a long, long time.

How many Arsenal players would get in those teams
West Brom, Sheffield Utd, Fulham and Burnley?
Saka, Partey if he wasn't made of glass, Aubameyang if they ever went two up top but they don't.

I think your view is much more realistic. On the Ancelotti point, it seems like the board were taking a gamble in the hope that Arteta would really be a mini-Pep. In reality though I think even Pep would struggle to make these players look good, however admittedly he wouldn't have us sitting in 15th place either!

Maupay instead of Auba? I think even choosing from 4 other teams you have majority Arsenal players, and some you have chosen are only of equivalent quality to their Arsenal counterparts. Not much in it between Pope vs Leno, same for Lamptey vs AMN/Bellerin. McNeil has hardly set the season alight with a total of 0 goals and 0 assists from 13 games... even Pepe has had a better return than that in fewer games and he's been absolutely slated.
We might have more talented players than bottom 3 but they’re playing like crap and keep losing, and I’m yet to see any signs of us getting better. All season We can’t create anything, can’t keep the ball and now can’t defend, that’s what teams who get relegated do. Unless we improve we will be 18th soon enough, the teams below us will pick up points and at the moment I don’t see much evidence that we’re going to pick up more points than they will
You're not getting relegated, put a run of two or three wins together and everything'll look much better. There's enough poor teams in the prem for that.
this isn't meant as an excuse, but what may help over the coming weeks is that all teams now have the same fixture congestion, that can only be a positive for us compared to earlier in the season with the EL games mid week.

I don’t think we will go down, I’m just saying from the form for most of this shown this season, at the moment there isn’t really much evidence that we will definitely pick up more points than 3 below us. We need a significant improvement of form, it’s not even like we’re missing chance after chance and you could say well we just need a better striker and we’ll be fine. The team can’t think it’s fine because teams below us are worse, if this form carries on we’ll be fighting in the bottom 3 in not too distant future because it’s not like you can guarantee teams below are just not going to pick up any points from now on
