I think if she had said what you're saying she said, it wouldn't have been so bad. She actually said that Leeds got promoted because of COVID and she doesn't know if they would have got promoted if it wasn't for COVID.
“My only concern would be that they blow up at the end of the season.
“We saw that a couple of seasons ago and I actually think they got promoted because of COVID, in terms of it gave them a bit of respite.
“I don’t know whether they would have gone up if they didn’t have that break.”
She loves her Yorky Bars !
The club have essentially encouraged a Twitter 'pile-on' and sent loads of sexist abuse the way of Karen Carney. It's not a good look.
But on the other hand, she made the worst and most insulting statement about our club that any pundit has made this year and the club have the right to call that out. All football fans, especially those outside the big six, are used to lazy coverage from pundits who clearly don't watch much of their team. We've heard the burn out, 'can they keep this up?' comments a million times now, but she went a step further. Man or woman, Carney or Gary Neville, I think the club would have called out that comment regardless of who it came from because it was so extreme.
My view - she's taken the job and been well paid for it, she's expressed an insulting opinion on live TV (either she knew what she was doing and was baiting or she's repeating something she's heard elsewhere) and the club have the right to respond and shouldn't give her a free pass because she's a woman. If it was Robbie Savage or someone, no one would be criticising the club.

Your quote is wrong.
Unless my take is wrong.. She insinuated that our success last season was thanks to COVID. Which shows a lack of research, as we were 11 wins in 13 i believe and post lockdown, we beat Fulham and Swansea along with Barnsley.
So which is it? She made a conscious opinion or she dropped the ball with her understanding of last season?
Either way, as a public figure who like Gabby Agbon and Merson disparage Leeds and felt the heat of social media.
The club however, have dealt with it wrongly imo and quite possibly shows the levels of disconnect between Bielsas mindset and influence, and theirs. We have been in the papers a lot this season, and lately under a lot of stick tactically. Now we have this to be sensationalised.
I don't think what the club did was sexist in the slightest. In fact quite the opposite. Have shown they were happy to call out Agbonlahor too.
I hope we can all agree on that and any accusations that clubs post was sexist should be refuted.
But that's not the end of the matter.
Should the club have been more aware of the likely content of the abuse that some idiots would attack with.
The club should be able to treat all pundits equally regardless of gender, race or any other discriminatory possibility. The problem is that there are sexist racist idiots out there. So there is a very good argument that for the club needs to be more careful. This is us telling the club they need to be sexist which is ironic I know. but it's the world we live in at the moment unfortunately.
I don't think the club have done much wrong. I don't think it was sexist. I do see the argument that they could have been wiser and more considerate given the conditions we live in, especially on twitter. I do think the club are naive to open ourselves up for criticism like this following a great win. I do appreciate that Radz has taken the responsibility and attempted to divert criticism towards him and not the club.
It's not sexist and I doubt the fact it was a female pundit really crossed the media manager's mind. That comment would have been called out regardless of who said it. Ben White and Klich responded to it as well, it was very insulting. Imagine someone putting your greatest achievement down to a pandemic that's killed 70,000 people including some club legends. The way she phrased it was awful.
But agree with comments that the club should have been more aware of the reaction this could bring.

As I said last night, our form up to lockdown had been good, the Hull game was the pinnacle but we had played well in other games.
We came back from lockdown in much better form than those around us and won the league at a gallop but I believe would have done that anyway. Yes Covid did benefit us but only because other teams did not show the professionalism that Bielsa demanded.
We would have come up anyway, the likes of West Brom, Fulham, Brentford etc just made the job that much easier.

For me, Leeds should not be blamed for other idiots posting abuse to somebody. Leeds didn't post abuse, they gave their opinion on her views. Don't put out controversial views in the media if you don't want your views questioned. Simple. It's nothing to do with sexism. Although I'm sure she got a lot of sexism aimed at her from mindless idiots. These people are sexiest anyhow, Leeds' statement didn't make them so.
No idea why anyone at Leeds should be upset with the comments. always been Leeds against the world. Are we getting soft now the media have had a recent love in with Leeds? I loved her comments and want her shifted on to sky in place of any of the skum players.

She clearly says "the last couple of seasons" not "a couple of seasons ago". If you've copy and pasted fair enough, not your fault.
Carney said Leeds got promoted due to Covid break giving squad respite i saw it and heard it.
So much respite we lost first game back 2-0 against Cardiff and Warnock.
Sorry but it was very poor punditry.
I’m loving the backlash I don’t know about anyone else, been a great read on Twitter this morning

Perhaps it will make her better in the long run to realise she can't just spout garbage on TV.
Was we not undefeated in 11 games before the break, like Rev says we came back and lost to Cardiff, that I blame on the break, because of the simple reason there is nothing to say we couldn't have played until the end without losing!..
That burn out tripe isn't how it used to be, the training and diat the players are now using is much better than it was a few years ago, burnout was a factor with Bielsa of old, but I don't think these days its like it used to be!..
Players that are fitter will keep going longer and better than those not as fit, so, if his teams are burning out then so will others, try telling other sports people that train harder about burnout!..
We lost our first game after the covid break and looked in trouble. Stupid comment from an agenda fitting pundit.
I think it was Paul Whitehouse off the Fast Show that used to imitate Jimmy Hill and when there was a question aimed at him by a female reporter he replied in a round about way and obviously not PC by today's woke world "ooh make us a cup of tea luv".

No Germany, we won the five games prior to the lockdown but prior to that had drawn against Brentford and lost five out of the previous six (including the Arsenal game). I believe the infamous Forest game was the last of that run.
If lockdown had come after that game the grim reaper's views would have carried more weight but as it was she was incorrect. She should watch the Hull and Huddersfield games might learn something.
