The FA Cup is a trophy and I'm sure it's something Nuno has his eyes on. Plus, it's probably the only way we can get European football next season, so to play anything but a strong side would be wrong, imo.

Yeah i would be amazed if Nuno intentionally fielded a young side for the FA Cup, especially with us facing prem rivals.

Don't know if anyone else has mentioned this. Ron Flowers, Wolves midfielder and member of the World Cup winning squad has finally got an MBE.
I remember him from my teens and early twenties playing for Wolves. He was a big strong midfielder who stood out with his blonde/corn coloured hair and was my favourite player at the time.
Great player for Wolves and England.
Well done Ron well deserved and about time.
He is 86 and still alive

54 years too late.
if i was ron id tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine

You are right, however better late than never.

Tommy Docherty dies. I remember him being at Wolves, but can't say I remember how he did or how we were doing around his time. A chaaracter never-the-less.

Tommy Doc was at Wolves in the Bhatti era sadly. But great character. Remember him saying that he achieved his objective at Wolves by taking them out of the old second division, but that he had been hoping it would be by promotion rather than relegation

I remember those days clearly. There was much excitement and anticipation when Tommy Doc joined, as he was a big name. It was around the time when I was working in the Molineux Hotel, or maybe just after. I could tell you some stories... ๐Ÿ˜†

You should tell some stories Bute. You probably met a good friend of mine who took over from Keith Pearson as club secretary around that time

Reading that Ruben Neves made the most successful tackles for Wolves in 2020 and won possession more times than any other player in the Premier League in 2020.

He remains a greatly under appreciated player amongst many Wolves fans in my opinion.

I don't think Neves is under appreciated. In fact, he is one of the most popular players. We haven't seen the best of him in possession for quite some time though, but I think that has mostly been due to our style of play.

I remember Keith Pearson. He used to get tickets for Marilyn, the Molineux Hotel landlady and I'd often get a wooden seat in the old Waterloo Road stand. I remember seeing Willie Carr's debut. 7-2 win against Chelsea.

I think our system doesn't do Neves any favours to be honest. Feels like he is playing with the handbrake on a little bit and i wouldn't be at all surprised if we see a different Neves when he finally leaves.

Did you work at the Molineux Hotel Bute? Not many people know that.

Brighton look to have some fitness problems going in to tomorrow’s game. Midfielder Alzate and full back Lamptey are out. Adam Lallana and strikers Danny Wellbeck and Aaron Connolly all face a race to be fit.

Really surprising that Welbeck and Lallana are injured.

Didn't even realize they were both at Brighton now

posted on 1/1/21

Both really good players and I like both of them; but they miss more games than they play through injury. It's a shame, but also entirely predictable when Brighton signed them.

Seen us linked with Czech Republic midfielder Alex Kral today, who plays for Spartak Moscow. Apparently a few teams are looking to make a move for him in January as it is expected his value will rise following the Euros this summer (if they actually go ahead).

I quite like Stourbridge. I worked there for 3 years at Weldall Engineering in Canal Street, but I think I would rather live in Hereford
