Tommy Docs Red and White Army.
Thanks Doc. It was emotional and you were awesome.
RIP you United Legend.
That’s heartbreaking, I only read today he was ill on Twitter and now it’s confirmed the worst. RIP Doc, what a truly terrible end to the year.
This game is what Doc was all about.
The Red Army behind that goal in The Leppings Lane End.

RIP - One of the great characters of my youth.
But of course 2020 had to sign off with another reminder of what a tragic year its been.
The worst.
RIP The Doc.

Gordon Hill - perhaps one of the most underrated wingers the club ever had. He and Steve Coppell were part of such a superb, dynamic and exciting line-up that 'the doc' assembled.
Kind of embarrassed that the final resulted in a loss to an offside goal. That era was also the part of my life when I was most blindly devoted to being a club supporter. Just prior to that stage of my life when the more shapely half of our species demanded attention.
He was no Busby or SAF but still an important part of my devotion to the club.
Oh no
Fack this facking year. Should be banned from the history books.

I went every game home and away in the second division should de plastic me forever, I remember 63,000 at OT playing that great Sunderland side, the doc was crucial getting us back or who knows what could have happened
One of football's great characters.
RIP big man. Lived to a good age as well.
Outside of Sir Matt and SAF the Doc played the most exciting football of all our managers in my life time.
Docs Red Army. We terrorised towns in that division, I imagine they were delighted when we went straight back up.
Different times, but every single one of us loves Tommy Docherty.
We might not have won a lot in them days, but during the devastating relegation and the glorious promotion, we stood our ground and kicked the feck out of everybody in our way.
Away games were like scenes from Ben Hur with hoards of Reds as far as your could see. Home games you had to be in the ground by 1.00pm before they locked the gates.
Magic.
I remember 63,000 at OT playing that great Sunderland side,

What a game... But Billy Hughes... What a game he had.
