As a United fan, I think talk of a title challenge is premature and I still think City are Liverpool’s closest challengers.
There may be an element of United taking some of the limelight away from City now, but come crunch time I think City will be right in amongst it.

United & Liverpool are level on points
I'd be more confident if we had real defenders and not league 2 level players back there.
24 goals conceded
I have confidence in our forward line. We seem to create an insane amount of chances every match. Don't score as many as we should but we're doing well up there.

I have my doubts, at the best of times I am positive but this is a funny season. I have watched United and Spurs whack Leeds but if we face Leeds or Wolves tomorrow I am not confident of the 3 points.
Too many unknowns, fatigue, injuries, teams changing form every week. Look at Southampton, untouchable for a few weeks and have been really poor for the last 4 matches. Players lost to Covid and the lack of fans means this season is unpredictable at best.
The only thing for sure is Liverpool just dont have the same hunger and edge they had last season. Winning a title takes away the desperation at times.
Its gonna be a Leicester like season and the hunger united have is key for me. Liverpool simply dont have the hunger and edge anymore.
If I was City i’d go all out for a marquee striker signing - probably Mbappe

Agree OP. Have been very impressed with City’s new found solidity in recent months, Diaz has looked a very good buy.
No doubt your defence is the best in the league with our centre backs all out, just depends on how much it is sacrificing at the other end.
City would still be my favourites for the league although United getting results (albeit very fortunately) has been impressive.
Interesting to see how you get on against an out of form Chelsea side later, think you’ll come away with a narrow victory.

What's the story about the youngster Delap ?
They, like Chelsea, are full of the best players in the epl, but both sets of individuals clearly lack motivation.
It could be argued that the self-generated quality of personal motivation is part of what makes an individual player 'great'. But if that isn't always present - for whatever reason - then it invariably falls to someone, or some people, to provide 'movement's towards them finding that personal motivation.
Wenger was the best at it (so far), klopp appears to be pretty good at it - the 'new Wenger', perhaps, but Pep is crap at it. Lampard may also work out how to do it.
Speak to most Liverpool fans and they all focus more on City results than what the 2nd team in Manchester are up to. United are just going through the same phase Spurs were on. Getting lucky wins, dodgy pens and that luck will run out. When we beat them at Anfield and it will be Ole out again.
City are the danger and if you get Aguero firing then very dangerous.

Blah blah blah
City have no chance unless they get Aguero fit and firing. If they can do that they have as good a chance as anyone for me.
Jesus won't win a title all by himself. As a back up rotation striker he's proven useful but he's nowhere near as good as Aguero was / is.
If we can keep Bruno, Rashford, Martial n Cavani fit for most of the season we will have a chance as we've got goals in us from all angles.
Still fancy Liverpool to win it and Utd n City to finish 2nd and 3rd again.

This is the kind of attitude I like to hear from our rivals. Total lack of awareness that we got more pts in 2020 than even Liverpool did.
Since Bruno joined the gap has decreased massively. Sometimes one player can do that if they are as good as he is.

kids alright but there is too much pressue so Pep has rightly pulled him out of the firing line.
We may not be a traditionally huge team, but the pressure to perform at this club is huge. Take Jesus for example, some city fans think he is not good enough even though he has a better goal scoring ratio than most strikers like firminho for example.
