Whatever people think about Xhaka, Lokonga anchoring the midfield by himself doesn't give me confidence. Feel like we could get pressed in midfield very easily.

If this gamble doesn't pay off, all eyes will be on Arteta.

Shame Laca starts again, Tavares should be playing instead of him with Xhaka and Sambi in midfield and the quartet of young stars in the front 4.

Can understand the lineup though but experience isn't getting us goals.

It's a 3pm home game. Should've played Tavares.

Nuno should really have played. Changing the positions of all these guys just to keep Nuno out of a home game against the worst team in the league on current form seems excessive

As poor as Tavares was last time out, I think he should have played and had chance to make up for it. It’s a home game against an out of form side, he won’t get many better chances. Plus we brought him in to be back up, we should have some faith.

If Xhaka had a bit more mobility, I would potentially understand utilising him at LB. But he has none. So this makes him an easy target especially on counter attacks.

Nuno was keeping Tierney out the team at the start of the season ffs. We're going to be relying on him so much more now Tierney's done. Such a poor decision to bench him.

Nuno ain't going to improve sitting on the bench and he will almost certainly be needed again soon. Would have kept playing him as well.
Guess Xhaka will play more the Tomi style full back role, meaning Cedric will attack more. ESR and Martinelli will overload the left attack anyway.

I guess Titler left Nuno out so that would be the talking point, and not the fact that Laca starts yet again no matter how awful he is
