Think Everton and Palace probably deserve to go down the way they've been run

I have a soft spot for west ham, so I don't want them going down

You have to think even if you lose to City, and that's no certainty you will still win the League, for all the good performances this season it's been your consistency, very few drops in form, it's a bit funny that at this stage last season a fair few fans were unhappy with Arteta and wanted a change, bet they're glad the board stuck with him now?

Let's be honest City are currently playing very well. We lose to pool and then City and its probably all over.

If we beat City and Pool it’s also all over

Why? You'd still be 2 points in front and the amount of games left is quickly reducing, even a draw against Liverpool and a loss to City wouldn't be too bad?

Not necessarily, if we win our other 7 games we would end on 93 points. The maximum Man City can get is 94 points but I still believe they will drop points in a few games.

Even if we win all our games, it's all over.

Good win overallReally need Saliba back next week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Is there any chance of this happening? Last I checked, no one even knows how long he'd be out for and Arteta only "hoped" he'll be back before the end of the season.

We have the toughest run of fixtures. Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Newcastle and Brighton are all games we could easily drop points in. It's not all about the results against Liverpool and City.

Arteta is always pretty coy on injuries and has seemingly shut down all leaks within the club, so any speculation is guess work really

Fair point but as I said before as well as some great performances it's your consistency this season that has been important, of course they matches aren't "easy" in anyway but what this season has shown is there have been some weird results, City could also lose/draw a game or two?

I'd rather be in Arsenal's position at this stage than City's and they also have FA cup and Champs league games to deal with

posted on 1/4/23

And to be honest fellahs, how many of you genuinely thought you'd be in this position 5mins before kick off at the first match of the season? Soak it up and enjoy it

posted on 1/4/23

I think on average until the end of the season City play a game every three days where as we play every five days. They obviously have a big squad but that could be a big advantage for us.

The problem is - we stray from our preferred starting 11 - we lose partey or a central defender - and things get shaky

Look at City - a 50 million quid player drops out - and a 68 million quid player comes in with De Bruyne - and the change is seamless - and they can do that over most of the park

City play all those (obviously Arsenal not City).

I'd still bet you'd rather be pashing your slacks at this stage of the season with nerves than have fck all left to play for?

They got Liverpool out of the way though, while we still have to pay a visit to Anfield. And they also get to welcome us to the Etihad.

If we are going to win this League we must go to Anfield and take all 3 points like champions do there are no excuses.

Meh City rarely win there but still have won titles galore. Would be nice to win but can't 'expect' it.

If we lose today and then lose at the Cheaters it's Curtains mate so must win today!!

This game wont decide anything. If we win we are even in a better position but still face tough teams. If we lose we are still top of the league.

Liverpool's midfield is awful. We really should be winning this.

posted on 9/4/23

Have to respect Liverpool at Anfield. Way too much cockiness on here.

posted on 9/4/23

Yeah really hoped for this Liverpool midfield. We should dominate them there
