Our best all-round performance this season. Our forwards other than Saka aren't as sharp or producing at the same level they did last season though. We need Martinelli back firing and Jesus to be more effective upfront. Our defensive shape was pretty good. Havertz still looks very unconvincing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can't have it both ways. Havertz was very part of a very dominating performance. He is doing a lot of work in midfield. Something which worried everyone more than his attacking side. And btw we have better possession when he starts. Vieira started and even useless Spurs could go toe to toe against us at home!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lol.....Bournemouth have one of the worst midfields in the league, so our dominating them has nothing to do with Havertz. Havertz' workrate has always been pretty good, so I don't know who was "worried" about that. I think we're more concerned with the fact he's a workhorse who offers little quality in midfield. He's one-paced, doesn't create chances (this has been the most shocking part of his ineffectiveness), mediocre passing range (and his technique is just weird and produces mispasses often), doesn't score, doesn't dribble. Just an all-round tremendous waste of money.
oh fak spurs are unbeaten too

We will see. He could very well be a big flop. But the fact is all the same cry babies were worried our midfield would be soft with Havertz instead of Xhaka.
In fact kept on crying how we need to play two holding players like Partey and Rice.
Look at the impact Maddison has had on Spurs. He's their best player at the moment. All-action, and VERY productive in creating and scoring. It's embarrassing that the standard applied to Havertz is to credit him anytime he doesn't have a shocker.

Depends what you think our aspirations are. If anyone thinks we're legit title contenders, Liverpool should probably worry us even more than Spurs. Personally, I think we're contending for top 4 spot and a revitalized Liverpool will be City's closest challengers this season, so I'd much rather Liverpool beat Spurs.
Maddison is a great player but no way would he fit in our midfield. He’d probably be better than Havertz there but it still would have been money wasted. It’s a shame we couldn’t get Caicedo
Caicedo has been actually dogsh!t for Chelsea though.
Anyone who goes to Chelsea looks shiiit tho
should have signed Wee John Mcginn
RLC was there for the taking
I wanted us to buy Paqueta start of last season! But now that we have bought Havertz you have to give him a fair chance. Havertz is a striker being converted back into a centre midfield role. So you can see how the coaching staff are working. Havertz was never going to have an immediate impact, and if you go with that in mind, his fallibilities are easier to accept. Arteta will not drop him, so no point crying about it.
But obviously there is a point at which it will become obvious and I want ESR ready for that chance!
We're unbeaten and we've barely gotten out of 2nd gear so far.
Yes, there are frustrations, but it's too early to say we won't challenge.

As long as we kept Partey, I was okay with signing only Rice in CM. The dumb cash we shelled out on Havertz should have gone to another forward/wide player. Someone like Doku who can run defenders ragged, or another striking option that's better than Nketiah and can compete with Jesus.
Neto has been class for Wolves this season. would be good backup for Saka

If Havertz was never going to have an immediate impact - he should NEVER be starting a game - give him 20 mins off the bench - take the pressure off him - and give the starting 11 the chance to work as a team
