Nah. Give it to Trossard or Saka. Both were excellent and dovetailing really well with Havertz.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lol......Havertz. Barely noticed him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he played in midfield most of the game until we needed a secondary attacker in the box. Not sure how you can dominate anymore.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Huh? Players in that position often get the most touches in a game, like Xhaka used to do for us. Yet Odegaard had 121 touches and Havertz had 59.
What happened to Arteta post match interview on Sky! Did I miss it?

Xhaka was no threat in the opposing boxes and couldn't shift a CB out of position. This is why Arteta bought Havertz. His passing is still woeful, but it's worth acknowledging his work rate and tackling is pretty good. Ode offers no protection when Rice needs a second man to come back.

That has nothing to do with Havertz' lack of influence on our build-up play. Considering Odegaard plays the more advanced position, you'd expect him to be having LESS possession, not over double more than Havertz. Except you're producing the goal return of Lampard in and around the opposition box, you should be contributing more to the build-up play of the team.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Declan Rice plays behind Ode so he is not asked to run back or in fact do anything defensively. So obviously he is the nexus on our counters. He is the free man. When Zinny plays Havertz is asked to cover wide and when he doesn't Havertz covers the entire pitch as he did today.
Ideally I want ESR to be the man because he works the ball better and can also carry it when needed. But at the moment he is too fragile to do the work rate that Havertz is asked to do. So Arteta is picking/choosing which games to start.
Even today Arteta started with Trossard in the no.8 role till he saw that West Ham started with a higher press than normal. And immediately swapped it knowing Havertz can carry the ball out under pressure which Trossy could not and we clicked into rhythm.
Wasn't expecting the same XI and subs.
I will renew the line-up shortly when they out.
Pls dont forget Snooky's prediction thread and yeah if you can rate this thread a bit higher would be appreciated too.

None of the other injured player is back.
Same XI as last week.
Sweet and ESR replace Walters and Nwaneri on the bench.
You see DJ. That's why I leave the last line-up there.
But it was wrong cos it said Nwaneri and Walters were on the bench!
Yeah but the first team was right. Little to correct though.

Need to score another 4 or 5 here today. 3 points isn’t good enough. Looking at our remaining fixtures, there aren’t many as obvious as this one where we should batter the opponent
