Arteta is a very limited manager who has copied peps tactics and hasn't got a plan b

Soon people will realise this. He's done brilliantly for us but he's taken us as far as we can. We either accept we get 3rd/2nd with him and a run to last 16/quarters of CL with him or we replace him for an elite manager

It is a striker we need. Without a striker the wingers are easily nullified. Put a striker in and suddenly the opposition have something different to think about.

We set up like today v Newcastle and City and never looked like scoring at all.

Whenever we adopt this cautious approach, we struggle big time offensively

Also, we were not expecting bayern to sit back either

We wanted to play like against City away but forget to create chances.

Tonight wasnt really about individuals though, just CL experience.

We had it under control until half time and then Bayern just took it up a gear and stunned us. You have to weather those spells

Games are always tight in the CL. One slip of concentration from Martinelli and that was it.

The problem is how often do the wide players get to the byline the answer not often. How many times did Martinelli face up to Kimmich and pass back inside. If we can't get the ball into the box a forward would do little.

Hard to pick the players up from 2 back to back defeats.

No, they havent but what they did yesterday was they showed from the beginning on that they wanted to win the game and they were brave.

The wingers are not going to the byline out of choice. When you have striker of worth that actually becomes tactic the manager employs.
