Hard to judge the subs as they were attackers brought on to defend and did the job.
Maybe, just maybe, Saka taking one for the team may push Arteta into having faith in Nwaneri.

Solanke early signs are he will be the biggest flop signing of the summer. He was woeful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
J99s man too
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he was though. you wanted him at the THE Arsenal
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah only listed him as an option and said not worth his fee.

Jorginho, Partey and Rice to start on Thursday?
Despite what some may say, sending us to Italy a day after City have a home game is dirty work before our trip to the Etihad.

And lay off Jesus and Sterling. Jesus has been injured and he wasn't even supposed to make the squad, but passed a late fitness test. Sterling is just joining after getting frozen out by Chelsea, and a high octane away derby against Spurs where we're fighting a rear-guard action is probably not the best of circumstances to make your debut.

I think that's true to a degree but I maybe I was just looking at the wrong times but I thought Jesus didn't work hard off the ball and looked bad the one or two times he had it. Sterling at least helped with numbers defensively and was tidy enough on the ball.

Jesus and sterling were awful
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sterling had a total of 15 minutes on the pitch, and spent it all protecting a 1-0 lead and a Left Back who was on a yellow card. Away from home.
He did exactly what he was supposed to. Can't really complain.

Arteta would be well within his rights to just send the 2nd team.
Seriously, an away game on a Thursday before city away on Sunday (while city play a day earlier and at home) is facking ludicrous
