How s|-|ite is Sterling? Even worse than I thought he would be and that wasn't great.
Chelsea bin dippers for what, the 5th / 6th time?
Talk about never learning from your failures.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mixed bag before Sterling tbh, wasn't like he we took 6 duds from them
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We gave them Ashley Cole the best LB in the world and took Gallas
Benayoun
A past it Cech
Jekyll & Hyde David Luiz
Jorginho a 6.5/10 if your standards are low
Havertz who for £65m was a massive waste of money when we needed a clinical goal scorer and he's rubbish in the position he was even signed for (AM)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Does Willian make the list?
Doesn't score enough goals, completely useless in big games, usually completely ghosting through them, never scores in them, not clinical at all and the position he was signed to play in, well that notion has been completely abandoned to shoehorn him into CF because we messed around like usual and mugged the fans off not getting what we needed, a clinical striker.
He's a cover / squad rotation option at best for any team that is actually serious about winning majors and to pay Chelsea £65m and make him our highest paid player for that? That called a horrific signing.
Doesn't havertz have the same amount of non-penalty goals and assists as Haaland in 2024?
He wasn't my first choice but to call him a shocking signing is a bit OTT. We're not looking good atm but no need to single out players.

People just get angry and make stupid points then are too egotistical/stubborn/stupid to ever reflect and change their minds.
I'm sure Havertz could win the golden boot this season and this guy wouldn't change his mind.
I like Havertz as a player / person.
He'd have been a great rotation option at £30m
But he shouldn't be in our starting eleven and to pay Chelsea £65m to take a problem of their hands and make him our highest paid?
You've got to be sniffing solvents if you are willing to lie to yourself and pretend that was good business.
I thought we overpaid at the time but seeing what he's given us and what value there is in the market for CFs I think he's been a decent signing.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I just don't think a £65m signing (particularly when that money went to Chelsea) and putting him on circa £300k/w means being a decent signing is acceptable.
But each to their own, I actually like Havertz just wish he was on half that salary and an option to backup / offer something different to a clinical striker.
The price / wages are not his fault, Edu, Mikel, Garlic and whoever else is involved In our transfers are responsible.
He has been decent for us and works very hard, his link up play is pretty good but I'd still take the £65m back and the £300k off the wages if returns were possible.
Defo agree the wages are ridiculous and I have no idea how we settled on that amount regardless of how things have gone. I thought the fee was a huge gamble but all in all I'm not fussed with how that ended up.
Looks like Liverpool's Diogo Jota still hasn't shaken his rib injury off.
He's been left out of the squad travelling to Leipzig.
If he gets 20 PL goals I'll take it all back.
Golden Boot and I'll issue a public apology to you.
Can't knock his effort and desire though.

No one is scoring 20 goals in Arteta's system.
There are no fixed roles.
You are more likely to see 4 different players hitting 15 goals each.

To be honest, I agree, but systems can evolve quickly for the right type striker. If you have a really clinical player you want them on the end of more chances to put it simply.

I'd rather have a fully fit Kiwior than any of our rabble of crocked fullbacks.
Timber and Saka will play
Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Jones, Salah, Nunez, Diaz.
Pretty offensive Liverpool side.
they haven't let in many goals anyway this season
