We haven't even spent anything on Sterling. Arteta was not even going to sign him and its only really a swap for Nelson!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Big wages
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No Chelsea are paying most of his wages. Its literally a swap.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A f*cking embarrassing one. Why are you trying to defend it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You said it was big money. It's not.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Over £100,000 /week + other fees so we're looking at £5m or so, still a waste of money.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No fees. Chelsea wanted him out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Incorrect, his wages are £325,000/ week of which we are reported to be paying at least £100,000 of. I'd suspect it's more though and like usual Arsenal fans are being lied to so they don't get even more annoyed with us signing another Chelsea reject who is already flopping
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal didn't release the info on signing day. His agent did. It was literally no loan fee.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No loan fee is no loan fee. We are still paying between £100,000-£160,000 of his weekly wages, exact amount not public information. There are other fees involved with making deals happen too, yes even loans.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, they're called loan fees. Which we're paying 0 of.

This loss is on Arteta.
He made all his subs and they have zero effect.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So the player need to answer a lot of question as well
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If all your changes have no effect then either you have bought rubbish players or your tactics were rubbish
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or the players didnt play on the required level
----------------------------------------------------------------------
but the players are consistently not playing at the required level - that points to something fundamentally wrong with the skills of some of those players

I think you guys have missed the opportunity now. This team reached it's peak and now is on its way down.
At this rate, I'm not sure top 4 is a gimme, not with others picking up.
If that happens, I'd imagine it would be the end for your manager, who really has had a fair crack of the whip.
You guys got me nervous 3/4 of last season, but I don't have any of that anxiety now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah I think we're just in a really tough moment and it's a new test for a young squad and manager. I think we'll bounce back stronger but this year is pretty much gone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was one of my points, if this year is gone, do the powers that be stick or twist?

You can keep trying to defend it as much as you like but ultimately the truth is that it was embarrassing, we were supposed to be assembling the last pieces of the squad to take us from challengers to champions and we decided again to dip in to the bins of a struggling Chelsea side

Arteta also needed to stick to his guns with 4-1-4-1. The club hinted that the backup to Ode was Ethan so sent Vieira on loan and sold ESR. Why then not pay him?
Obviously because Arteta 4-4-2 worked against City and Spurs away so stuck by his Moyes. It failed against Bournemouth but Arteta blamed that on Saliba and not the fact were chit before the sending off.
