I don't think Auba has ever played left back. Lets face it he hasnt been good enough, that is the reason hes not out there, no point making excuses for him.

We haven't been very good as a team. Completely useless creating and no fluidity in passing. We set up so deep against a high press (liverpool) team we gave them the game. Auba has been a very easy target, setup by all that tardiness fiasco by Arteta. It was so transparent at the time.

We are ranked as one of the least creative teams in the premier league. Yes he has missed chances. But he usually used to end up opening the scoring as well. And he actually started to score a few goals before all that public shaming.

That doesn't mean he hasn't had chances though does it lol. He's scored 14 goals and missed many chances, he lacks the ability to create his own chances so clearly the team has created many for him.

So does every striker. Auba though still scores more than he misses. Even in a down season. At least I know this is season is an aberration in his career. Thats saying more than anyone else we have,
