On the other hand Ben White had a poor game and looked uncharacteristically nervous on the ball. What happened to our ball-playing CB? ESR and Ode had decent games but Saka was pretty quiet again, which is worrying because if we're not getting him into the game then we're not making the most of one of our few quality players. Auba was once again completely isolated and uninvolved. What's the point of having a finisher if you never get him the ball?
It's important to win games and keep clean sheets, to build confidence, but as a team we still look like we're only just getting back to match fitness, five games into the season. I think our coaching staff have really dropped the ball this summer, we should have attacking this season from the start, and it looks like our management team have spent all their time focused on the transfer window and none of it getting us ready for the new season.

You don't seem to get it. Auba has a history. You don't just become a bad player over night. The entire team is suffering under Arteta. With Auba at least you have the hope he can poach a goal or create something out of nothing. He is confident to pull something out. Others hide.

This is not being a fan of a player. I am a fan of the club. And all goals are meaningful. But the fact he has won Arteta who hasn't be able to coach attacking football at all, the FA Cup tells you Auba turns up for the big games.
I leave all that supporting players shiite to newcomers who don't know what it means to support a club and not a personality.
Would also like to see Laca for Auba.

Got no complaints with that squad, though if I'm honest I would have liked to see some U23s in the squad.
Expecting to see a performance as well as a solid result
