Premier League investigating the legality of the transfer to Albion from West Ham. The agreement included the specification that he couldn’t play against West Ham last night. That’s ok for a loan but once someone has been transferred then that kind of agreement is not legitimate. Both parties at fault

I remember a similar incident when Flapper Foster joined lolbion from Birmingham City.

Back then though it was on the understanding that Flapper had to play when they faced Blues!!

Twitter rumours strongly linking us with Brazilian striker Wilian Jose, 29 year old from Real Sociedad. Loan with option to buy.

Been around a bit, plenty of experience, looks like he's worth a dozen or so goals a season in La Liga. Sounds worth a punt if they can get him on loan, age might be a factor though.

He's starting in a cup match against Cordoba by the way. Its on Premier Sports in the UK, kick off in about 10 minutes. Hope that doesn't mean he's cup tied for Chorley

Fosun show once again that they mean business. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ–ค

John Percy is usually pretty reliable, looks like it could be happening.

Just read Spiers saying he thinks Cutrone may go out on loan but Nuno has said the club are trying to sort his domestic situation out because he's still living in a hotel at the moment on his Jack. Both can't be true. Jose, Silva, Cutrone would allow for injury contingencies provide competition and options.

Just been laughing at Rio Ferdinand moaning about "all these rule changes" after he discovered that you can't be offside when an opponent plays the ball to you. That's been a rule since wolves were playing home games at Dudley road.

The Ref in studio ref got it wrong, what a bunch of winkers they are.

Jose is waiting for a work permit which doesn’t seem to be a problem. It does mean though that he won’t join the club until next week. A loan with an option to buy in the summer

A Brazilian striker, sounds impressive

Not a bad record and fairly consistent it seems. Experience as well which is nice.

Can see Cutrone leaving again, clear Nuno isn't interested which makes it such a bizarre signing from the start.

Willian Jose scored both goals tonight

Guess the signing will mean Cutrone moving on. Parma supposedly interested. Taking him back was always just an insurance policy in case we didn’t sign anyone I guess.

Still leaves us light if cutrone goes
We ideally need all 3

1 or 2 to play and 1 benched

From what I've seen of Jose he fits the Raul bill nicely. Possibly a better finisher not so good in the build up

I read his hold up play was good. Have to wait and see.

Cant see us playing two strikers. That would mean leaving two out of Neto, Podence and Traore out which I don’t see happening. Jose in and Silva doing what he should be doing at his age and giving cameos from the bench

That's another 2 mill on his fee then. Hope Cutrone does stay, he'll have been treated pretty poorly by Nuno and the club if he's shipped off again. Still think he's got some potential in him.

Whether we play 2 or 1 we have a painfully thin squad let's say we send paddy out again and one of fab or jose get injured we're scuppered again

Leaving us light once is forgivable its a learning curve but repeating the same mistake

Just seen Jose's goals from tonight, second one was a cracking 20 yarder.

Yea saw it on fb decent strike that

Cutrone left before because he wasn’t getting games. I think keeping him would be not learning from our mistake

Going with 2 strikers is a bigger mistake surely
Especially after every man and his dog say fabio shouldn't be leading the line and he should be back up etc etc

But I don’t think it’s just about what we want. Cutrone’s career has gone nowhere for two years and stopping here to be second or third choice won’t do him any good at all. He’ll be wanting to go somewhere he’s wanted and somewhere he gets games. I think a bottom half Serie A team is his best chance

posted on 20/1/21

He's employed by wolves and him going leaving us short is detrimental to our needs that'd be my point
No issues him going but we'd then need another player

posted on 20/1/21

Common sense says to keep Cutrone at least til the summer.

Have to factor settling in time for jose as well

posted on 20/1/21

I’ll be happy with Jose and Silva for now. Question mark will be whether Jose stays when Jimenez is fit. And every month that goes by Silva will be more ready. I don’t think Cutrone is good enough for the Premier League, and I think Nuno feels the same way

posted on 20/1/21

Jose is 29 and been playing regularly. Can’t see him needing much of a settling in period
