Yep think on the whole England deserved the series but it was very close and if I'm honest was a very even series to watch.
This series was just a full on beating.
I think England caught India cold in the 1st test. By that I mean they had just come back from Aus playing fast bouncy tracks and then had no practice and came into the first test. England at least had the games against Sri Lanka to get used to some sub continent spinning conditions.

Yep, at Root was in prime form after Sri Lanka.
India are a stronger side and on turning pitches they are far superior in both batting and bowling. England failed with the bat in the first innings of the last 3 tests and especially in this last test, they fell probably 100 runs short of where they needed to be. If India were still 150 rather than 50 behind with Pant and Sundar new to the crease then we might have backed Bess to bowl a longer spell at them and maybe get one of them out. Unfortunately we didn't have the first innings runs to play with and that cost us.
On a separate note, huge credit to Anderson who's fitness and skill levels are phenomenal. There's been talk about our bowling depth of late and that Anderson should only play at home. Perhaps the competition has made him work and train harder? He really has elevated himself back up to a level above the rest of our seamers and hopefully the rest respond.
Yeah....where did prime Root go to....
Do folk just want to carry on with this thread for the limited overs stuff, which starts tomorrow? I can change the thread title. But if anyone wants to start a new one, please go ahead.

Better to update the thread - should be a good T20 and Odi series - probably the best two teams in both formats currently
Right, I'll update it. Something basic at first as I'm pushed for time but maybe I'll add to it later.
We have won the toss and will have a bowl first

3 off the over
Tight over yes but thats one less over when it could turn
To be fair, that wicket was from an atrocious shot
Kohli in early...get at him
Crowd went awful quiet...didn't it
I take that back. Kohli decline continues
Wow, what a start this is!!!
