Thiago normally plays in a 2 so has someone next to him. In our formation he is isolated a little.

You can change the squad and deregister a player. Demoting Origi could be an option. Botman or Militao on loan. Still think we should have been sniffing around Malang Sarr befor he went to Chelsea. Free transfer... surely was a no brainer?

I think you are under estimating how much Klopp's brand of football takes out of players. A lot of Dortmund players have spoken out about it since he left I'm sure I read. They love Klopp but they also felt that brand of football was unsustainable.

That relentless hunger to press and harray predominantly came from the middle of the park where we suffocated teams, won the ball back higher up the pitch which gave the front 3 far more opportunities to find space. The reality is we have not been able to play that midfield 3 of fab hendo and wijnaldum which has been so successful the last 2 years.

What you are seeing now is how important that midfield is. Even thiago may not get the opportunity to play in that midfield until next season.
