Mendieta was grate. Veron as well. I miss the classic number 10.
This takes me back to when the World Cup featured all these exotic players you’d never heard of or seen before.

Denilson (no not the Arsenal one) used to look like the best player in the world once every 4 years.

Denison was hilarious. Got absolute players for taking the p!ss doing kick up during a game didn't he?
Personally I love Neymar, I know many don't. Rainbow flicking a hatchet man is a great response.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Simeone complained about Neymar taking his defenders to the cleaners, calling it disrespectful
I don’t understand how people can not enjoy watching Neymar. He’s the most entertaining player in football.
As a kid knowing nothing about defending (not that I do now anyways) but Nesta always looked like he was playing about 2 steps of everyone else.
Recoba, a player that probably didn't reach his true potential but great to watch on his day.

Roger Milla was another man-crush. Tommy N'Kono too, though maybe few will remember him playing goalie in his tracksuit bottoms for Espanyol.
Speaking of Espanyol, John Lauridsen was a great player for them in the 80s.
And Mágico González for Cádiz. One of the greatest football characters of the 80s. Legend.
Millas little goal celebration corner flag dance was about the most exotic thing in football since the tiny South American shorts of the 70s
Loath Utd but love volleys.
Mark Hughes.

Was just about to mention him.
Veron was my favourite. I was so happy when we signed him. Sadly it didn’t work out, though he was a lot better than people gave him credit for.

Mendieta was my favourite player in that Valencia side.
I hope that Aguero gets the credit he deserves once he has retired. Outstanding footballer.
Suárez, Silva and Yaya in recent times I agree with. Cazorla too. The irresistible chipmunk-faced smile of pure happiness of doing what he most loved to do! Made me feel like I was watching a primary school kid realising his dream. Couldn't not love that.
Morten Gamst Pederson. For a few years I was convinced he was the heir to Ryan Giggs.
I liked Duff at Blackburn
