Dier By Name, Dire By Nature

Ive lost track of the goals he has conceded or failed to stop in the last few games. Let alone all the penalties he has given away in the past 18 months.

Fulham goal, sanchezs fault for the cross coming yet dier was flat footed, jumped underneath the ball. Cavaliero did well but Dier made it easy.

Liverpool Auriers fault for the ball coming in yet Dier did not deal with it.

Last night comical.

At this stage we need to drop dier or move him into midfield where i think he is much better.

Davies needs to be dropped completely. I would be up for playing Son there again thats how awful he is.

These two our worst performing players but Jose needs to go first its his tactics with the lack of pressing, negative take no risks formation.

Hes slow, cumbersome and brainless.

Haven't held back my thoughts on him. He has an OK period when the whole team was doing better but he is being highlighted now as the extremely abject player he is.

Fear another we have missed the best chance to sell at the right time.

I quite enjoyed that break dance tackle.
It was hilarious.

Must have had shi1tt in their eyes. He's always been a liability. No where near the level we need for a title challenge. Bit unkind I know, but he always seems to come across as a bit of a dope. He plays like he talks. I think we've all had enough of him now.

Forgot about Foyth. What happened to him? I quite liked him.

CB clearly needs upgrading. However, I'm sure the new manager will let us cross the halfway line and the centre backs won't be under constant pressure all game.

He was poor mate, why did you like him? He's on loan at Villareal.

Not quite good enough in either of his positions.

Sell to West Ham when they lose Rice.

Along with Sanchez, he has to go. Takes up a foreign space as well in the squad.

He is a disgrace.

I’d play Rodon and tanganga for the rest of the season

Can’t be any worse

But harsh on Toby but his legs have gone like with Vert

He is still better than Dier, his reading of the game and experience count for alot. Just needs a decent partner.

He’s bang average and always has been. Never jumped on the praise bandwagon just like I haven’t jumped on the Aurier bandwagon. Both a pair of clowns and complete liabilities. What a bang average defence though consisting of Aurier, Davies. Sanchez and Dier. Got to be the 4 biggest bunch of liabilities in the league.

Maybe Rodon and Toby then

But I can’t see Dier in another starting line up

That penalty give away was a disgrace ....we all knew it was coming the moment he started thrashing his legs about

do we have the money to spend what we need on a Dias or VVD type which we need. i dont think so. also these type of players will want to go to a CL team.

It's kind of easy to forget that he's actually 27 now. Didn't seem long ago that he was early 20's. We are looking for the next Toby and Vert in their peaks but we still haven't found it yet, not with Dier or Sanchez.

Agreed

But doesn’t mean we should settle for player who wouldn’t look a stand out in the championship

I would sell both. If we received £40m for the pair of them we should take it. Add another £10m for Foyth, that's £50m for a replacement to go with Toby, Rodon and Tanganga. Won't be in Europe next season so we should be ok with 4 CB's.

I wouldn't be against that. I wouldn't be overly against keeping Dier as a squad player either. He can be useful and he's still the only one that prevents our free kicks being dreadful. Never one for a regular starting place though.

I think there can be a danger when you try and sell too many from your club too soon.

I would sell 7. Dier, Sanchez, Doherty, Winks, Moura, Davies and Sissoko. Bale go back to Real.

Sess, Clarke, Skipp all return in the summer with Parrot who should be loaned out again. Keep Lamela around too.

With the fees and wages saved by sales, we should be able to reinvest wisely and fill in the gaps.

The thing is on Bale is his getting no games,. His swapped sunny Spains bench for a freezing cold one in North London. If Jose was to give him a run of six games I'm certain we would see a lot more from him.

Bale's main asset was always his pace. He doesn't see to have it anymore. He looks lost.

Before we buy players I hope Jose is long gone.
