Tigres, as you will find out tonight when they are crowned champions of the world.

It would be hard to argue against the current record breaking Man City team.

Man City need to prove themselves in the CL first. There is no reason why they can't do it this season on form, and if they don't it'll be the same old story.

According to the ELO club ranking it is currently Bayern Munich, followed by Man City.

I didn't realise Jeff Lynne was so influential.

Definitely a toss up between City, Bayern and Atletico.

Although none are near as good as last year's Bayern.

Probably City......until they go out of the CL in the quarters again.

PSG have no reason to be on this list if we are talking about currently. AC Milan would have been a better option than them.

Right now it has to be City for me, they've still got something to prove in Europe, but as it is City seem the best team in the world.

As someone else said it can only really be Atletico, Bayern or City right at this second. They are the only three teams in Europe’s big leagues currently winning top with a cushion of points. Perhaps just behind is PSG, who of course reached the CL final last year and will always have a quality squad.

But taking into account how good they were last year it still has to be Bayern, even though they’ve had some random losses/draws against average teams in their league this year.

Things can change quickly. If Bayern happened to get knocked out early of the CL this year and Atletico, City, or PSG reach their finals and win their leagues the argument will be for them. Just a year ago Liverpool were definitely up there as the best side in Europe too.

I agree that AC Milan should be on the list before PSG.

It's taken you nearly half an hour just come up with that.

AC Milan are hardly winning their league by a canter and have been knocked out their domestic cup ages ago. PSG reached the CL final last year. I think they’re still quite comfortably the better team for now. If they faced each other over two legs I know who I’d be getting money on..

But PSG aren't even winning their league with teams that are hardly good sides. The question says "currently" and PSG, for me, aren't better than AC Milan currently.

If we were going off past achievements like you say with PSG last season then there would be a host of other teams we could throw into the mix.

I see what you mean, I guess it just depends how strictly you define currently. For me I was taking into account to some extent what happened the previous season, given its largely the same team.

You replied half an hour after you originally pressed to reply to the comment, although it was a joke. It even took you 7 minutes to reply to mine.

It's always hard to judge as you could say PSG being in a better European competition are doing better in Europe compared to AC Milan, but I'd say the latter are having a better season for the expectations of both clubs as it is this season.

I think "currently" should cover at least 6 months to a season, cause any team can have a purple patch.

I've based my opinion off this season so far and I'd say AC Milan have had a better season than what PSG have had. I can't say PSG were too impressive in the CL either despite winning their group, then again, you could sing from the same song-sheet about Milan as well.

I just feel like PSG have underperformed somewhat from their usual standards domestically whereas AC Milan are having a fine season and they've both done ok, but not spectacularly, in Europe.

I rate PSG above Milan right now. Milan are the new kids on the block who haven't proved anything yet. That's why judging over a season or so is better because that encompasses the various European and cup competitions.

Even City can't be seen as the best team right now because we don't know how far they'll get in Europe yet or how much they'll win. They haven't even been great for more than 3 months, and last season they were way off the pace.
