How can we justify selling Smalling and keeping Lindelof? Smalling wasn't perfect but he wasn't beaten so easily like Lindelof is.

Really not sure what we do about Martial. How long does Ole continue trying to play him into form?

Part of the problem is we have four players for three positions.

I’d be as happy seeing Hugill starting as Martial at the moment, tbh.

Yeah ridiculous really, could sort of understand it if Lindelof was some majestic ball playing CB that started loads of attacks for us but he doesn’t. He’s better than Smalling on the ball, but not by enough that his huge defensive frailties are forgiven.

Smalling was the best defender at the club but quite possibly let down by his clown feet passing

I think the fragility of the defence has our attackers nervous. That can't help. They know they need to score 3 a game to stand a chance of winning

Some of the soft fouls given to them in their box and VAR ignoring the foul on Lindelof. The manager has to question this.

Lindelof was very weak as usual mind.

It’s certainly why he went.

I think the club probably thought that Bailly would be able to do the same job as him, but could still be used to play through the press.

Unfortunately, they failed to remember he’s a complete crock.

Yes, OGS cannot ignore and be a nice guy even if we win. He/team has to question the officials and their performance
