Boris thinks Michael Edwards broke into the Etihad and did this

Of course reality is far less interesting and a former a City employee used his password on his old existing account.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Still data theft.

Can't expect anything else though really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You got a million quid which is good business for what at the time was simply a list of who not to buy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Money you could have put towards buying a replacement CB.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It was in 2013 Boris. you were crying earlier about how much we spent on VVD. Go read a book.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm reading a book called Data Thefts On Merseyside in 2013.

It's a bit of a niche publication.

Simple question to the OP. Can you please explain why Leicester City and West Ham are above Liverpool? What unfair advantage to they have?

I couldn't be less bothered that an ex employee of City logged into his old database 8 years ago I don't think.

Pretty amateur by City though.

It's dishonest by him, possibly. I still don't really care and I'm not sure why you do tbh.

I know City were new to this football lark but even the smallest businesses generally do due diligence processes. Still we live and learn and City were given ample remuneration for some data on sh!t players.

We are behind but not a huge gap. The point being that our squad is so depleted and therefore cannot mount a serious title challenge whereas City have the resources to minimise the impact of the level of injuries we have. If we had their ‘money no object’ owners, I am certain that we would have replaced the injured with high quality replacements on the 1st Jan.

I'm not overly bothered but I just find it ironic that certain Liverpool fans insist on calling City, cheats.

Tbf fans all round the world call City cheats.

I dont though and that's all I can account for.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

We can’t do that either though. Money no object can’t happen anymore even if people wanted it to.

We spent the majority of last season playing Fernandinho in defence, we didn’t buy a replacement in Dias either until the end of the season. We’ve had both Aguero and Jesus out, we mitigated that by completely changing our system and playing a strikerless formation. We had no left backs fit, we converted a midfielder in Zinchenko (and previously in Delph) to play there instead.

The idea that we just buy our way out of it and injuries being your sole issue this year are both clearly false narratives. None of your forward players are playing to the standards they were previously, you’ve not changed tactically enough to mitigate the loss of your midfielders in particular in covering the defence and you’re still trying to maintain a tactical setup that requires an intensity that most struggle with normally, let alone this season.

You’ll be back to your best soon. There’s no need to set a false narrative around either the reasons you’re not or why others are though.

In total denial about how much VVD, Allison etc cost.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How about the money from sale of players? We had to sell our best players to build what we have now. City on the other hand can buy as many centre backs as they want and keep the existing ones. That’s the difference
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Then maybe you should lash out at the appropriate people (ala your tight owners) instead of getting all upset about another team showing ambition to improve while you raid Preston North End for defenders!

I know right and a fair few know nothings said the same on here too. While Liverpool were breaking records I didnt really subscribe to it but now it's City I'm on board. No one is saying now though, weirdly.

If City win the Champions League you can be damned sure that wont be on merit either what with the Spanish giants being being even further in turmoil, Juve crumbling and Dortmund in transition.

Probably best to just put an asterisk next to it all imo.

Spurs getting throught to the final 2 seasons ago and PSG last season shows how poor the Champions league is at present when it comes to quality.

Well Leipzig and Lyon making the semis last season and Ajax and a Barcelona team already in steep decline the season before says it all.

Again, spot on and the same goes for the PL. Look at the drop off in Liverpool and Spurs. Chelsea in transition with a new manager, Arsenal no where, disrupted season, late start, some fans in, some not.

If City do win stuff they certainly won't be getting any credit from me as a good team, it's just that football, all across the world, based on what clubs are called, is at an all time low.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It has been that way for the last few seasons, the premier league is fast becoming a league where the majority of clubs are looking at survival and nothing else,so when they play the rich bigger clubs it's more about damage limitation than anything else.

For the big teams it's now about breaking 10 man defences down most weeks rather than playing a proper game of football. Then when a big team plays another their now seems to be sterile games where teams are too scared to lose.

It's been pretty dire for the past few seasons

Completely agree, again!

In fact funnily enough I was reading an article in Viz the other day that backs up exactly what we're saying and I was shocked to find out that there are actually only six good footballers left on the planet atm.

Viz is a great publication for current football affairs.I'm surprised they have that high a number of players they rate at present.

You can't count Messi and Ronaldo as they are both in decline,so who are these 6 players?

Ok op, if you aren’t not on the wum(!)!, so we sold football for money back in the90’s. Now that others take advantage of it you complain.

Great innit? Wonder what Robert Johnson has to say after his visit to the crossroads, all these year later,?
