But how could the mentality monsters lose their monstrous mentality? Sounds like someone that would happen to a team with a weak mentality.

Yes things do change The attitude of all you loud-mouthed gobshiiites for one. 12 months ago, Liverpool were the best team in the world with all the best players in the world in each position. Now it's unfair that you're expected to compete with City because of how much better than you they are
It seems to be a thing in football that fans would rather find reasons belittle the achievements of other teams than just give credit where it's due.
Money is the one most often used, Chelsea had the same before City. Last year we had the standard of the league.
Simple truth is that City are top because they've got a style of play that suits their players, they score a lot of goals and don't concede many. They're an excellent team with an excellent manager. All the 'buts' are just jealous noise tbh.

Let's just chill with City. Remember last year they had 1 defender missing for 3 months and the team went into meltdown. Sure Pep got his annual chequebook out but when we get our players back from injury we will be the driving force again
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True, only 1 player missing, no others.
No UEFA bollox unsettling the players, every VAR decision going their way.
No one can fathom why Pep didn't get 100 points again.

Sorry but all fit I think Liverpool's squad is better. We've also spent a lot of money to get there. Better net spend for the balance books but I don't really care about that. We have one of the most expensive squads in Europe.

Surely one of the reasons why City currently have the best squad is how it copes when injuries hit.
So it makes no sense saying 'we have the strongest squad when everyone is fit'

Not really. They lost a centre back last season and were nowhere near as good, bought a centre back who next to Stones has been part of a good partnership.
It makes perfect sense if we have the strongest squad when fit, which is why I said it.
They didn't exactly cope very well last season though did they, just like Liverpool this campaign.
Liverpool might be 6th right now, but the season hasn't finished yet and it's a much closer league this time around than what it was last season.
Its why their squad cost almost double liverpools. Insane, i think even utd n chelsea are a few hundred mill off them.
Foden looks a real gem too.
Its how theyve managed domestic cups so well along with very very favourable draws almost every round.
We need to keep strengthening without losing key players to keep closing the gap and to keep competing or go further n compete in the cups at the same time as they do. Not sure our owners have the intention of that, also breaking wage records. Unless they start outsourcing wages etc likecity n cooking the books prob wont get around ffp.
And they’d have u believe their squads on less wages than ours 😂
City were without Stones, Laporte and Otamendi for large parts of the season.
People only ever mention Laporte.

also Sane...even if he were about to be sold, that would have been a £70m windfall, some of which would presumably have gone on a replacement.

Actually £50m Stones was available for most of the season but sat on the bench a lot when a midfielder, either Fernandinho or Rodri was preferred in defence next to Otamendi or in some games Garcia both also available for most of the season.
Stones had lost his marbles last season, he was as good as injured.

Well this is a new, and desperate, take in things.
For comparison, your four first choice centre backs, not including Fernandinho, in the PL:-
Stones - 16
Laporte - 15
Otomendi - 24
Fernandinho - 27
82
Liverpool's:-
Fabinho - 18
Matip - 10(out for season)
Gomez - 7(out for season)
VVD - 5(out for season)
