alright william goldman
It's the dumbest braindead idea I've ever heard in this Pandemic. Let's just invite everyone from everywhere, do our usual p 15s p00r job of screening them and just let wave after wave of new peaks happen. God the people that run this country are beyond the pale. We need to heal our own country first the right way. Bin the Euro's and Southgate ball off the bl0o dy World Cup is next year. Wait for that instead. Especially after this season. Why must we rush everything? This is as bad as giving away all our vaccine to 3rd World Countries trying to save the world again.
What if we need it down the line? Oh sorry it's all gone to people in a country that couldn't care less about us!

I think we should just trust the government on this, they’ve done an excellent job so far with covid with strong decisive action.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
if that's not sarcasm, then it would be a major contender for 'Post Of The Year'
They should just call off again. Its not a tournament without a host country or fans there to enjoy it. The football atm still ain't that great without fans, so the Euro's and WC will be equally bad imo.
I'd postpone the Euros till next year. At the moment internationals are just a pain in the @rse and the last thing our overstretched teams need. But let's not kid ourselves – this is all about revenue. It will be decided by the men in suits. And the men in suits like the money.

Got a better idea. Scrap the bleeding thing and give the players the time off that they need.
---------------------------------------------------------
I'm behind this idea
Ideal opportunity for Boris to offer lots of opportunities to his mates to bid on contracts that only they are up for and get rich off the back of, sod the fact people are dying right left and centre, lets make lots of money.
Covid has been very good for Boris, it has enabled him and his mates to make lots of money and at the same time enabled him to hide what a sh!t storm of an idea Brexit was and had badly it has been implemented. Every cloud etc.
Boris is a hero up there with Churchill. Greatest couple of leaders this nation have ever had. Corbyn would have bankrupted the country by now and we'd all be speaking Mandarin.
He's done wonders for close personal friends of government ministers and party donors, a section of society often neglected due to obstructive practices like ethics and the law.
Both the European and World cups are voted for are they not?
Brexit has basically torpedoed any hope England has of hosting any international competition that requires a vote.
European countries won't vote for us.
Simple as that
the Euros shud b scrapped.
2 much risk involve in hostng them anywhere
give players a proper rest in the summer, they all look half dead, the ones who aren't already injured anyways.

Totally agree, I think everyone will need a break from football this Summer.
Players are shattered - definitely need a long summer break, forget the Euros for the moment, maybe next year.

I assure you that this kind of sentiment exists only in the UK media, and not, in reality, on the continent.
There’s no war on the UK, hatred for the UK, mistrust of the UK or desire to cause problems for the UK or its people.
Trying to stop a conspiracy theory on the internet? That’s a lost cause.

I don't think there's widespread hatred of us in Europe, but you only have to look at at Eurovision to know Matty is right when it comes to voting.
We're way down the list in terms of likeability.

The vast majority of Europeans I speak to (and there are a lot from all over the shop here - Spanish, German, French, Italian, as well as the Portuguese) are still just confused and saddened by Brexit.

And your sample of 5 is hardly representative of Uefa's 55 voting countries.

It wasn’t just misinformation I think.
Since being on the continent, I’ve found that relatively-speaking, there’s a spectacular lack of understanding in the UK about what the EU actually does, its structures, its larger programmes, how it creates law, etc.
You can talk to young teenage kids here and they’ll explain eloquently and precisely the relationships between the Commission, Council and Parliament better than most adults in the UK can.
I think with a better understanding of the organisation and how it works in the UK, it wouldn’t have been nearly so easy for the UK press and Eurosceptic politicians - and ultimately the Leave campaigns - to mischaracterise it as, for example, an undemocratic institution (which, of course, it fundamentally just isn’t at all).
