This may be one of the best chances in a while for somebody like City to go and win the CL or even another unlikely side, such as a Leipzig/Lyon who reached the latter stages last season, to go and do something special.

Bayern have been on auto pilot in Bundelisliga for a few years now. They dangle a carrot and then when they play Dortmund and Liepzig they school them.

Can only be good for football then can’t it. Would be boring other wise.

Waited 30 yrs to see there club lift the title and they have to do it behind closed doors and when we are all back they won't even be current champions you couldn't make it up. Definitely best scenario. Couldn't happen to a nicer club

It would have been if City hadn't run away with it. Would have loved a four way plus scrap for the title. Just doesn't happen, which is a shame. When you look at who City may bring in for next season too... it is going to be really tough.

You can cling on to that if you want. All I know is that for 4 years we've been competing for and winning the biggest prizes and you have been spending 150 million on Maguire and Lukaku whilst winning Europa leagues.

Well that isn't true. Everyone had a chance due to how City started the season. They also have walked the league without a striker. The fact is that Pep sorted the defence out and made them more of a complete team down to coaching and adapting. Of course their squad is amazing, but they hardly did anything in the summer. Which is why they'll go big again this summer.

They bought Dias and two players for the squad who have hardly played... for City, that is pretty limited when you compare what they have done, and will do.

IMO this is mostly related to Covid. The lesser teams are getting results against the bigger teams due to them being fresher by playing less games.

A lot of very, very good sides have underperformed this season. Bayern, PSG, Liverpool, Barca, Juve, Celtic, Porto, Dundee, just a few examples.
