You get what you pay for, if your mug enough to read it then more fool you.

To be honest, at times I don't think there is any point in reading any of the red top's. They all tend to spout rubbish like this trying to sell papers.

Saying that, if the player himself has said this, then he's an idiot.

The Daily Rubbish is desperately trying to sell more papers, hence the sensationalist nonsense about a non-story. The faster this comic is put to death the better for Scotland.

You would have thought they would have learned a lesson after their nonsense of the other week, absolute trash.

as far as papers go the daily record is a topnotchprick of a paper with topnotchpricks writing for it.

ignore it mate, i do.

I never bought the paper - I scanned the headlines online.

The point is that there are large percentages of people who read newspapers and believe what is wrtiiten in them. Therefor newspapers have a certain responsibility.

This article is irresponsible because there are idiots out there who will read this and believe Rangers fans have threatened Pascalis wife. That is unfortunately what happens.

But no-one has mentioned this incident since wednesday morning. Yet suddenly Pascalis wife is scared to outside according to the Record?

They really need to take a look at themselves.

They're only reporting what the player said. Why censor it? The player is obviously an idiot who has now attracted a lot of attention due to his ridiculous comments. The DR didn't force these words out of his mouth.

Easy soloution, don't buy or read it
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Thats not really my concern. I can read it and assess it as nonsense myself.

The point is there are hundreds of thousands of people out there who will read this and think it is reflective of a real threat to Pascalis family from Rangers fans.

That does one thing and one thing only - stirs up trouble where none actually exists.

The Record should be taken to task for stories like this.

They should apologise to all Rangers fans for suggesting we pose a threat to some nobody Kilmarnock players wife.

Hector - would it be any way possible for you to move beyond trying to just criticise me for reading the article and actually address the point which is the abuse of the responsibility they clearly have to the thousands of people who do read their paper and believe what it says.

Why can celtic fans not enter into a discussion without trying to just turn it into an opportunity to score cheap points?

I am sick of trying to get you to grow up Hector but seriously - you are beyond tiresome.

I wouldn't recognise Pascali in the street let alone his wife. This could become the longest-running non-event since Big Brother.

The POINT is, that by giving it a moment of your time your justifying its exsistence, you're tacitally agreeing with its editorial opinion and content.
It will never alter its muck-raking content if people, yourself included, buy or click on it.

Except I am not.

And I am assuming you mean tacitly.

What a ridiculously childish viewpoint. So anything we read we are validating and agreeing with? What absolute nonsense.

And your justification for this is that the Record get money for advertising?

If advertisers are stupid enough to pay the Record for every click on their website thats up to them. If they want to throw their mony away.

But as a society you shouldnt just close your eyes and ears to the nonsense thats written.

Plenty pf peole read the story where they tried to stir up non existent hatred towards neil lennon a couple of weeks ago. And plenty of people complained.

So you are saying that those people that read it - were tacitly agreeing with it becuase they read it in the first place - yet they then went on and complained about it.

So how does that work mastermind?

Hector you really need to get a grip.

As Zachsda said the paper has a poor reputation and a poor circulation to match.
...............

Because most folk with half a brain have sussed it out as the scandal-mongering comic it is.

Even a child like I can see it.

Take on board what it prints and you're and idiot.
