Selling Lukaku was never the problem. Not signing a striker to replace him was. Martial done better last season than Lukaku ever did for us, but as we’re seeing this season, he cannot be relied upon.

Yet Lukaku is the overrated lump.
Lukaku will never win you a PL title with as teams as good as City n Liverpool (pre injuries) around.
The problem wasn't selling him. The problem was believing Martial is the guy to replace him. He isn't either and probably isn't even as good as Lukaku for me.
We badly need a top striker. And I'm sorry but we shouldn't be renewing Cavani's contract. He's 34 and misses more games than he plays. Go sign a world class striker.
