We certainly don’t need to beg Nuno to stay but then I don’t think he’d be easy to replace if he did want to leave. He’s one of the best managers the club have ever had so there’s nothing to suggest we will just go out and find someone as good or better to replace him.
A lot of people wanted McCarthy to leave and thought we would easily find someone better. Three managers later we had gone through two relegations. I suspect if Nuno left then things would get a lot worse before they got better. And though there’s some that seem to think mid table in the premier league represents average or disappointing, I suspect that would quickly turn into dreamland again
Regardless of what the fans think the club will want more than mid table finishes. Fosun have been quite clear about their ambitions.
Don't think anyone will shat the bed over a disappointing mid table finish this season but if that is the case again next season then things will be looked at differently.
I do think that Fosun have lowered their ambitions somewhat over the last 18 months, certainly from the big statements they were coming out with three years ago anyway.
The last three windows have been very disappointing and we haven’t moved forward at all with squad development. Is the starting eleven today any better than in our first Prem season? I don’t think so.
Yeah agree with that, they have certainly back tracked a little and don't forget last year they put out messages asking for new investment.
And agreed, our squad may be a little deeper but overall the first eleven isn't really any better and a fair argument to suggest it is weaker when you consider the loss of Bennett, Jota and Doc.

The Solbakken/ Saunders/ Jackett/ Zenga/ Lambert experiences have value in that they make us appreciate what we've had, and have, since then with Nuno.
