It's what frustrates me most about Jose. First half the set up was spot on, but he is obsessed with protecting a 1 goal lead. It may have worked for him in the past, but with our team attack is the best form of defence.
Got away with it today, but no doubt these tactics will catch up with us later in the season.

He can run forwards quite quickly.
He can deviate in a straight diagonal line quite quickly too.
He can turn and run backwards when loses the ball.

I think it started out as a player thing in the second half, not a Jose directive.
Early from the second half we were closing down and trying to press much like the first half, but Fulham played out of it better.
The more they grew into it, the more the players shrank back.
Problem was the, the subs played in to that mentality. Lamela and Lucas would have been an okay switch, but any time you add Sissoko you know what the direction is.
Jose played the hand the players dealt, but a manager of his experience should have subbed to change how the game was going.
Why are people thinking Jose was protecting a 1-0 lead? We missed so many chances in both halves to score more, it was our poor finishing tonight that kept the score low.

It had the same worrying feel as all those other games where we've dropped points after taking the lead. Create a good number of chances first half, score a goal, then get pushed back second half. Last night we happened to get away with it due to the stupid handball rule, but we will be back to square one again and endure constant dropped points if it becomes a theme again, cause we don't have the defence for it.
