Suarez.

As good as Salah was he was in a fully functioning team, Suarez dragged a midtable side to a title race, was utterly bonkers.

first 11 wasnt that bad, strong mf gerrard hendo n coutinho and pretty devastating front line of sterling suarez sturridge wasnt it?

It was the gk n def that was the issue absolute shambles.

That said Suarez was a special player, up there with Henry for me. Salahs stats have been insane and hes a great player but Suarez was a special player much more fun to watch too.

Suarez for me. Probably top 3 with Henry 02/03 and Ronaldo 07/08

No Lampard 20 goals/20 assist from midfield or whatever crazy season it was?

There are 9 players who have had a premier league season where they hit:

-atleast 1.00 non penalty goals contributions (goals+assists) per 90
-2700 minutes (equivalent of 30 90s played)

One of them did it twice - Kane is actually on pace to do it which is not really being mentioned, historic season for him.

Love what Salah brings to the side but he's not even close to Luis.

Without doubt Suarez is the best player ever to grace the Premier League.

Suarez carried the whole team up front. We are nowhere near the title without him that season.

Do feel if Salah had an out there personality like the other players mentioned in the comments, then people would be looking at him very differently.

Such an underrated player, and this season has shown that.

Suarez.

It's not really close tbh.

Suarez was on a different planet that season.

Remember before Suarez came back in late October I think, we were labouring to 1-0 wins thanks to Sturridge.

He transformed that season single handedly into what it turned out.

But also Sterling & Coutinho then took the baton from about March.

That's a good summary, Henderson was really good that year too.

I asked my brother how many goals PL Suarez would have scored if he was on the pens and played 38 games.....his answer was 'about 50'

Tbh Suarez was shocking at pens. No guarantee he would have scored any.

Similar to Messi, amazing at free kicks, and technically gifted, but can’t take a penalty. Really strange.

57 penalties, 9 missed/saved. That's 85% success rate. Wouldn't say that's shocking at all.

So we had 13 penalties, if we take his success rate, he may have scored 11.

See you in another week.
