I watched the Barca game and Mir did ok. He took the penalty well, but it was a sort one imo. He seemed to dive over their 'keeper. He'd be worth a shot at Wolves, but not sure he get the game time he's getting now. I'm sure Huesca will go down, so he may want to go to another lowly La Liga club and stay in Spain.

I saw the pen incident several times and still don't understand it.

Mick's bubble has burst. He'll need a LOT of money and a full season to get that shower promoted.

Of course. One defeat in his thirteen games so far. You can see why they've ALREADY extended his contract 'til 2023. Clearly not good enough. ๐Ÿ™„

We shall see by the end of the season. Play off side last year, play off level manager and they were in the play offs a few weeks ago so anything less than a play off spot will be disappointing.

Talking of sides that are flying, Barnsley have won nine and drawn one of their last ten. Ismael Valerien whoever he may be.

I think you're making too much of this play-offs position. They were there for one game, on goal difference, having been in the bottom half until Mick took over. It was an admirable run of results, since his appointment, that took them there. You make it sound as though he's created a slump. You look at several ex-Wolves managers who have been sacked as failures in League One just this month who would have loved to have achieved anything close to what Mick has. Not just the two Championship titles, but international management too. The contract extension offered so soon is testament to that.

If they don't do it this season I have zero doubt they will be promoted next season Bute

And I thought the McCarthy crap was over. Silly me. Who the feck stirred the pot and woke Butey up?

Just strange that three people comment on McCarthy but wolfie only blames one. No grudges there then

posted on 18/3/21

Because of the number of games Romain Saiss has played for Wolves this season, he has triggered a clause in his contract which extends his stay at Wolves until the summer of 2022

Wolfie thinks he's the only person allowed to comment on here. Often posts off-topic himself, but objects if others do. Grade one hypocrite.

Not at all Butey. The fact that ONLY three people have commented on your hero, including you and your wingman DJ, just shows the lack of interest. I'm sure you'd love him back at the club.

posted on 18/3/21

Actually 5 have commented wolfie including you and your wingman cinci. Just shows who you hold a grudge against and who you don’t

Good to see that Conor Coady is in the England squad for the internationals later this month

I wouldn't mention "holding a grudge" DJ. You've held one for more years than I can remember.

It seems to me that one particular poster doesn't accept other opinions, or views, that don't correspond with his own. He doesn't want to debate topics that don't suit him either. He labels these debates as "the McCarthy crap" for example.

Why can't we all accept other posters OPINIONS and not try to label their views as CRAP?

This is the main reason that this forum is dying a death and good posters have left the site. I myself have considered moving onto other forums, but that would be allowing wolfie to win.

Unless Southgate rotates his defence in the first two games, I don't see Coady getting game time. Shaw has been awesome this season and Mings/Maguire seem the best combo in a back 4. Don't see Coady as RB.

posted on 18/3/21

I suspect Southgate will give Coady thirty mins somewhere, probably when experimenting again with the back three system

Stones will definitely play.

I blocked him for a year or so, but he seemed to be behaving better, from comments I'd seen that were shared, so I removed the block. He seems to be brandishing the victimhood badge once again. He does alienate people, but you're right with your last observation.
