Just to be clear Super I am not making this a dig at Rangers I am defending both clubs ahead of what I sadly am expecting us both to be flogged over.
I hope I am wrong

Whilst I agree with Call Sign I also think that if an exclusion zone was put around Ibrox similar to what they've done for CP this week then at least some fans would ask themselves what is the point of hanging around if we can't get close?

Ditto George Sq. Sure they might go elsewhere but these were always the two places that were flagged well in advance and fans more likely to disperse if they couldn't get near?

Tend to agree with the Op.

The individuals responsible for attending the stadium all knew the rules.

The club did put out do not attend messages but at the end of the day they are not responsible for the actions of others.

On a normal match day if a fan drives to the stadium and breaks the speed limit or drives dangerously - you wouldn't expect the club to be held accountable.

We don't ask football clubs to champion the requirements of the law for fans outside or on their way to the Stadium.

Inside the Stadium - it's obviously a different story but outside, the clubs are being unfairly criticised imho, especially when everyone knows the rules fine well.

I blame rangers.

They know their fans are gremlins that rattle their own sisters, what did they expect to happen.

rangers didnt use the right methods.

buckets of cold water would have separated the fans from their sisters, then they could have told them to go.

The messaging from Rangers could have been a lot stronger for sure but ultimately people had been planning this George Sq nonsense online for months.

Feck every single person that went there they are a bunch of selfish erseholes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hmmm, have you ever driven above the speed limit?

Aye agree

If people feel a need to go and jeopardise everything for everyone else over a football game then lets hope the police hit them with pepper spray and smash their batons off their faces

Idiots

me nope but I don't have a drivers license

Bad example then

I think most are people are selfish - either eat too much, drink too much, smoke, take illegal substances which all increase the risk to their own health and thus the social care system.

That and some of us spend time on here - when they should be working

I wonder just how many people in this country actually followed all of the covid risk mitigation rules and advice for the full year.

Slim to f'all I would imagine.

The difference with George Square wasn't people breaking the rules - just the amount of rule breakers in one place and the associated visibility.

She's just reacting to the numbers and advice.

Surely this is a good thing?

A thing many have been calling for?

A thing many have criticised her for not doing earlier?

now she makes moves she's making moves to open the country up she is criticised again?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not criticising her for this at all. Infact it's exactly what I thought would happen.

Still definitely a bit more aggressive than I expected
