I don’t understand your blunt response.
Are you stating that our current players are playing better than the 3 players stated. Have you turned your nose up because they aren’t big names players who would cost £80m.....wake up! We aren’t in a good place and need some players with some desire.

Messier is just 21 and Harrison is 24 but started at this level late. We need to buy young players with potential

Won't be long before Meslier oustrips Lloris, for me. One on the decline, the other very much on the up. Still, I doubt you'd get Meslier. Imagine we will price teams out of the market for him this summer, at least.

Steed Malbranque, but that was from Fulham so doesn’t really count as superstar signing. Good player though👍 Especially at that time.
God I’d love a cuddle off BMJ right now😢

Used to love Malbranque as a youngster. Partly for the name, though, I think.

A pretty good assessment from the OP but I disagree about Harrison over Son. I’m sure Bielsa would swap tomorrow and add a player into the bargain.

Spurs problem is they didn’t let Poch have more time. You say we look like your early days under him - well that’s because he’s a Bielsa product, as is Pep.

Jose will take you backwards. I’ve said that from day 1.

I never stated that Harrison is better than Son, he’s nowhere near. What I meant was, if Son was to leave then I think Harrison would be a good move. He’s a better option than amours, Bergwijn and Clarke.
I would still get him if Son was to stay as I can’t see us keeping Bale. He costs to much for a luxury player and although can be amazing going forward, he leaves us very exposed defensively.

Harrison one of our players that I just don't see being as effective in a team that don't play the Bielsa way. We will snap him up for 11m, which is a bargain, would be wanting upwards of 40 to sell.

OP

Not being funny, but if all these Leeds players are so good, how come they are six points behind Spurs, having played more games, and with a minus 2 goal difference?

I agree OP Leeds are very exciting to watch its the Bielsa way.
Our players acnt be bothered with all that work ethic anymore no thats not for them. They hope Kane or Son and rarely Bale can just score a wonder goal to save them.

I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting some young players from less teams, could easily work out.

I agree with the premise of the article but Ayling especially isn't great at all imo.

Leeds are the opposite to spurs in the way they have few great players but are well coached and drilled with a clear way of playing in every game, rather than worrying about the opposition too much like Jose does.

Take it you would sooner be in Leeds position then, 11th with six less points. Playing pretty football doesn`t mean getting more points, and that is the whole idea of a league, it is a points based competition. Plenty of boring sides throughout history have won the league.

I'm literally saying that our better players, if better coached, would be in a lot better position than we are.

Poch is a far superior coach to Mourinho.
He markedly improves players, Mourinho largely makes excellent players look worse.

Poch had a 56% win percentage over 5 years, Mou has 46% in 1 and a half years.

It's not even an argument to be had regarding the two managers, anyone suggesting otherwise is on the wum with a weird agenda against our best PL era manager.

I want Mourinho gone don't get me wrong, but it would be interesting to compare Poch's win ratio in his last year to Mourinho's now.

People seem to forget how awful we were towards the end of his reign.

Whilst want Mourinho gone, I'm not sure we have the money to sack him until maybe some clauses aren't met. That said, I think the players have let down our last 2 managers and a huge rebuild is needed, player wise. It ain't happening overnight. This is gonna be painful.

Things went wrong with Poch no doubt but if I were Levy I would have gone with a manager who could have built on the good things that Poch did instead of employing someone the complete opposite. It would have saved me a lot of money in the long
run too.
The thing is Poch wanted to rebuild and we can see why and Levy probably didnt want fund that.

They are in their first season in the top flight. Surely we would be a lot better off points wise if we were far more superior.
Football is an entertainment game, so what’s the point of football if it’s not entertaining. At the moment, I would rather be in Leeds position, playing exciting football with clear direction, instead of the shiite show we are having to endure.

I haven't forgot that at all mate, I loved the guy but on reflection it was time up for him for one reason or another.

Least we had 3 or 4 proud and exciting years.

Jose hasn't got hold of the squad and improved us for a sustained period in his short time here. At the moment things are as bad as they have been.

Yea agree. Its a shet show really and hard to see how drag ourselves into a new phase to be honest. Depressing.
