Sonny says “we have 9 games left including the cup final and we need to play like warriors”
Which of course begs the question, why wait till now?
Someone better teach Sanchez to head a ball.
Last week we had the chance to capitalise on other teams poor results and blew it.
This week, Liverpool, and Chelsea have won - so we need to rise to the challenge just to keep up.
Can we do it?
I have my doubts....
will be interesting to see his team selection after the last debacle, hes called out so many players cant be many left that want to play for him
I wish ppl stopped believing everything in the media and then use that as gospel truth?
As for today’s game, the squad had a week's rest and Jose had a week’s time with them which makes a change from 3 games in a week. The players Shiite be in a much better physical and mental shape.
It’s really a situation where we don’t have any excuse if we fail to get maximum points, unless the officials and VAR get involved!
Shiite? Has that got into my phone now?🤣
Sorry meant should!

so 0-3 Utd
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wouldn’t say that?
They hardly set the world alight with getting breaks to win games. Bruno has been lacklustre in recent games and Rashford dragged them over the line in some games.
It will be close game with VAR and Chris Pawson siding with United as he doesn’t like Jose at all.
So I am expecting at least one pen to them in the very last minute of the game, with Rashford or Pogba going down too easy and getting it.

We fked it up twice within a few days and yesterday all the results went against us.

Hmm yet again a Tottenham bashing articles by a paper that do long ago claimed Jose was a genius and a master at work?
To start the article by saying Spurs got away with a draw at Newcastle that’s itself a lie to set the scene in, if Kane’s many attacks had gone specially the one that hit the post, we wouldn’t even have been surprised. It’s bollox.
Some parts are true about fear in the game but the truth is we don’t have players in the middle of the park who can dictate the pace, slowing it down at times and speeding it up at other times, like an Eriksen and that’s what’s hurting the team. We need a maestro. A conductor who will run the show for us. Kane has been trying to do so, but he’s needed to score goals.
The clamour for Sabitzer is because he is someone who dictates the pace.
We need a clear out in the summer.

I disagree we simply don't aim to dominate the ball.
Being dominated by the likes of Fulham and Newcastle just highlights our players are not coached and it won't matter who the players are.
Get the right coach and see .Just look at Leeds even with 10 men they were not merely put everyone behind the ball against the best team in the country.

Sorry, not what I was trying to say.
We don't need to dominate any game. We need to stay in the shape we start with, and not suddenly start dropping deep and encourage the opponents.
We need someone who can conduct the team and get the team to be switched on, and realise we are dropping the pace and speed up the rhythm of the game. So many games I have watched with Eriksen and how he dictated the pace, how our players looked to him, to pick up and spray the ball around and reignite the attack.
We are seriously lacking someone like that.

We have players plenty good enough to dominate the game and dictate possession against lower half teams, we just don’t set up that way, we set up to let our opponents have the ball.
And we were lucky to get a draw vs Newcastle, Kane hitting the post doesn’t change that - we had about 7 shots; they had 22 with 17 from inside our area. Had you seen the results and form they’d had before they played us? Dreadful, then we come along and our tactics give them all the encouragement they need to attack and think they can get something.

Surely our players are good enough not to drop deep against the poorest sides?
Its the mentality of the team rather than the individual players highlighted by the way we play as soon as we take the lead.
Look at the Europa game we were two up and played the second leg like a game that we took an early lead in.
I agree we do not to upgrade a lot of players but I think a new manager will get the best out of some of them with a better system.
*need to upgrade a lot of players

Sorry, not what I was trying to say.
We don't need to dominate any game. We need to stay in the shape we start with, and not suddenly start dropping deep and encourage the opponents.
We need someone who can conduct the team and get the team to be switched on, and realise we are dropping the pace and speed up the rhythm of the game. So many games I have watched with Eriksen and how he dictated the pace, how our players looked to him, to pick up and spray the ball around and reignite the attack.
We are seriously lacking someone like that.

Decent article in the Guardian today:

TLDR: Jose is a parody of himself, consumed by fear
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hmm yet again a Tottenham bashing articles by a paper that do long ago claimed Jose was a genius and a master at work?
