Just re-watched the first game highlights, and we had Dier as CB, and Sissoko alongside PEH and Ndom, beggars belief!
We basically stifled them and they like to play from the back and because of pressure on their defenders from Kane, Son, and Lamela, they couldn't get out of their own half at times and made a few mistakes.
Their pen was soft AF!
That kind of intensity and desire is what we want to see for the rest of the season.

We were not up to speed for that game or the one before it and it clearly showed. Obviously playing with ten men after half an hour didn’t help us either.

Then this 10 men excuse? A team that wants to challenge for the titles, and uses a excuse that they are unable to win games with 10 men in their own backyward?
It was not just a case of Spurs shading it, it was a case of total humiliation
I understand this narrative not up to speed ad 10 men, suits you and allows to make allowance for a tactical howler by your manager, but regurgitating these over and over isn't a good trait.
You can say your team played really badly and this won't happen but the rest is just a total excuse imo.

As soon as every other team got back up.to.speed(we had EL qualifying as pre season) then our true colours were shown really.
I did know that the top position was false but the idiot in me thought we'd hand more in there in the top 4, especially as uts early years Jose. The collapse seemed to happen in record time for him.
If he stays and things are the same at start of next season it's going to be carnage.
