As cliche as it sounds I guess it depends on what version of us turns up. Real are no great shakes atm and on our day we are a match for anybody. Tuchel has us organised but I think energy will be key here. Getting the ball to mount and pulisic and playing high tempo.
Either way it’s exciting to be in it. What an achievement
No reason why not. You have a massive squad and have spent just as much as all the others.
Yeah very exciting Nick. This Real side aren't quite what they were but I would never want to underestimate them. Benzema is still banging them in and they have battle hardened CL winners throughout their side. A CL semi won't faze them at all. For most of our players it's all new to them.

Yup but we have a much less experienced group of players than the others at this very highest level.

I mean there’s plenty reasons why not. Hence why were 5th in the league. Money spent means nothing unless they perform. First season for young players in w new country and team during covid, Madrid for comparison have a team that have been together for many years
Hmmm Modric and Kroos against whoever Chelsea's midfield is? John Obi Mikel? Josh McEachran? Genuinely no idea.

It's only the experience that I feel may undo Chelsea. Thd other three teams have all be around the block a few times.
Real were a lot better than I expected, their game management was excellent.

A lack of understanding of how football works. When Real Madrid needed to score, they did. Even when it went to 2-1, they knew they'd need another so went and got it. Liverpool needing to score for the majority of the tie and failing to do so does not make them the better team. Of course they were going to create more chances, because they needed to score. People are idiots. I prefer dogs. At least they know that if they've already caught a bird to eat on their first attempt, they don't look at the dog next to them chasing birds about and failing to catch them on multiple occasions, and say that that dog is the better hunter. Dogs>people.
I think Zidane knows exactly what he's doing as well though

Yeah possibly but we let in 3 away and then missed chances and hit the post a couple of times too.
That's football.
They did have no Ramos and Varane tbf.
So Real were better than Liverpool and rightly deserved to win the tie

Yeah they'll be stronger in defence. Ramos is still one of the best around. Also Hazard is available which concerns me as I can see him turning up for Real for once.

The tie, absolutely. Mainly because we were fortunate to get out of Madrid with a 3-1 deficit.
We played well in the second leg and missed a lot of chances. But I also felt RM were doing what they needed to do - had we scored I think they'd have changed tactics and come at us more. Even then RM hit the post and Benzema missed a sitter.
They were possibly a bit fortunate not to lose the second leg but overall the better team went through.
In Chelsea's favour though, RM are involved in a 3-way scrap for the title and have injury issues so there's going to be some tired legs in their squad.
Chelsea seem to have a full squad to pick from so may well have the edge in terms of freshness and energy. Could be a factor over 2 legs.
Get to the final and there will be a huge amount of pressure on either PSG or City to win their first CL. Both have cracked under the pressure of expectation (in the CL) before so you never know....

I think PSG will be well up for it if they reach the Final, having lost the Final last year. I see them as favourites at the moment I think.
Wouldn't surprise me to see Chelsea win the CL but miss top four looking at the fixtures.
It also depends on which RM team turn up too!
They are due a bad day...all great teams have them...and if so we need to take full advantage.
They will be more afraid of losing to us then we to them.
If The Blues take on a positive attitude anything can happen...as history of the competition has shown.
Fortune favours the brave...I do believe Chelsea prefer to be the underdogs for sheer motivation.
