There is
Throw them out the league now; reduce their points to zero and ban the clubs players from international clubs.
Won’t happen though. These clubs don’t care about the supporters at this level as there is no risk and it just becomes a tv spectacle around the globe which in turn will give them the money which is all they want.
Gary Neville has never spoken as well as he just did.
Absolutely brilliant destruction of the greedy clubs.
This is just rich owners wanting to play against other rich owners every week

“Tottenham I’m not really that bothered about”
Brilliant
Just nailed it on the head there he did
Be interesting to see how many supporters ditch their season books if this league goes ahead.
My guess is most won’t and the tickets will be snapped up anyway and then we’ll get a new set of the “entitled” on here
Harsh to ban players from international considering they’ll have little choice in the decisions being made.
Don’t care. Harsh is what is required.
Brave of these owners to make this move when fans can turn up to the stadium tomorrow. Can you imagine the welcome they would be getting.
Gary Neville rightly annoyed and emotional. I’m fuming.
If Radrizzani ever tried to sign us up to something like this I would want him out too. This is not because we are not involved. I’m relieved we are not and I really hope that we’re we in a position to be in that contract we would have wiped our bums with it
Very embarrassing!
I've just become a fan of Gary Neville.

They do though. If they sign with one of these clubs they know they can’t play for their country. Why should they?
Dump your country’s league set up purely to get more money and fwck those who remain yet want to still represent their country?
Baws to that. If they’re of international standard and could play for one of these “super” clubs then they are good enough to earn a fortune in their own league and country. It’s a money choice as it sure as hell isn’t a competitive one.

I get your point but I’m very certain the owners of these mega rich clubs have been on the phone with the likes of Greenwood and Shaw to make sure they’re on board with it.

Don’t know when it’s meant to start but you’d think they’d have some time. In any event it would be breach of contract potentially if they were told to start playing in a brand new regime which could easily affect their “image” etc.
Phew.
The Culture Secretary has just mentioned his concern.

Am going to sound abit thick
But the likes of arsenal and spurs, who are already miles behind the best side, are going to be bottom of the league, and no chance of winning after just a few games. Where is the interest for the fans ??
And most seasons, there would only be two, or three going for the title, nearly half the season would be dead rubbers.
Am I missing something ?

The point is that despite this the owners of these clubs would still get a fck tonne of money and they can’t be relegated so they don’t care.
If they did care about what you or the fans think then the idea wouldn’t even be talked about.

There is little interest for the fans unless they follow the clubs floating on the top of the cess pit.
The thing you are missing is ££££$$$$$€€€€€.
But surely, when grubbing clubs like arsenal and Spurs, bring nothing to the party, especially Spurs. The other clubs won’t want to share with them

Not missing anything. It'll be full of dead rubbers. Can see it being a disaster. In a way I hope it does happen and just feck the big 6 off.

Liverpool only won 1 league title in 30 odd years, they're hardly super league royalty. They thrive on 2nd legs cup ties at Anfield, not titles.
If they did a super league, we could perhaps invite Celtic and Rangers into a British league to add a few big sides.
