Apparently Jose refused to take training this morning in protest at the the super league news, hence the sacking.

13 - José Mourinho has lost more games in all competitions in 2020-21 than he has in any other season in his managerial career (13). Regression.

Omg it’s all happening

Surprised they’ve gone it just before the cup final, but weird to do it then actually. Maybe there’s an argument if Spurs won the cup final they’d have to stick with Jose for a bit regardless of league form.

The cynic in me also thinks that now Spurs have signed up to ESL if they’re taking it seriously they know with the money coming in they can afford to sack Mourinho. I’ve read reports Jose could cost them upto £30m to sack right now.

Jose still needs to adapt to new football. I agree with the view his general man management is outdated, I think this is to his detriment more than his tactics. He’s no longer untouchable and football is also no longer such that managers tend to outlast players.

I low-key think Spurs actually have a good squad with quite a few decent investments recently in talented players at a good age. They should probably be top three with their squad.

Some good news today at least.

He'll worm his way in and ruin someone else in a couple of years, no doubt.

How fitting that, the day after the final nail was hammered into football's coffin, the man who gave us so many beautiful and wonderful moments and who can be said to have invented the modern game, lost his job.

Tottenham sacked Jose Mourinho after an explosive morning where he refused to take the squad onto the training ground over the club’s proposed European Super League admission. (Source:

Also a feasible thing that could happen, which could explain the suddenness of this just before a final. Also could be media reports putting 2+2 together Too much going on

People are saying it was due to the super league and Mourinho went off on one against it.

Can’t help but be cynical with Mourinho and think this was the ideal opportunity for him to jump and enhance his reputation in some aspects by doing it.
