There needs to be an objective take on this

Finally someone gets it.

People have a romantic view about the current state of affairs where Man City can buy who they want and win the league most years. Chelsea can have a Dutch feeder team and 100 plus players on loan.

How have either of these sides ear to anything and what is about that some of these other clubs find so great

The people keep pointing out that football is already very problematic as if that justifies making it even more problematic amaze me

It's important to be objective. Having unlimited money doesn't make these owners immune to being taken out. They may hold all the power through the money they have, but they are still perfectly killable. Just need to remember that.

Ahem. Sky don't have the CL rights.

Spot on. But then again there’s always people who are stupid. Just another example of this being this article

Sky are scared to lose their never ending revenue from PL teams especially, from’big 6’.

UEFA are just racist money gabbing arrogant fools, I won’t forgive them for taking our EUROPA Final to facking Baku killing any chance of us winning, they don’t care about us and am glad they will be terminated by big clubs.

Sky and BT sports have taken us for mugs, imagine their sheer arrogance of making Arsenal play Saturday after just playing in Europa! They control TV coverage to suit their needs to create shock and unfair competition, I hope Netflix and Amazon takes over from Murdochs and BT.

I am in with the clubs as long as all the permanent clubs share equal revenue every season will make it competitive and maybe, we get to win ESL Super Bowl.

I couldn’t care less about Leeds or West Brom, they will never win league even under current format just pure delusional from them.

OP, remember to never let perfect be the enemy of good

Let’s just keep doing the same thing over and over and watch City win 8 of the next 10 Prems. Football is fooked and the powers that be won’t do the right thing by enforcing actual wage and transfer caps across Europe, so let’s distort the game to its fullest - it actually makes it fair at some level rather than the unfair current nonsense

Chelsea and City are wavering.

Two clubs who don’t actually need the money.

Clubs rise and fall all the time, it's what makes football, football. These six just want to cement themselves as untouchable regardless of performance on the pitch, with their appointments, player recruitment or financial irresponsibility. If they managed their clubs more effectively they wouldn't need to be doing this. Barcelona are in €1b of debt. Let them fold and suffer the consequences of poor management and over spending above your means

Ultimately it comes down to being a closed competition.
Fine, start it with these greedy feckers , but as long as the integrity of competition and sporting merit is still in place....
this whole devine right, just cos they are rich is disgusting

UEFA, FA, Sky etc are only concerned because they know the revenue that could be lost from this. Money is at the heart of all of this. This isn't anything to do with the local fans who live in the area and have been watching the club for 50 years.

Every person is seen as a customer, whether you have supported a big six club for decades, or are just watching the sport. Everybody outside of the clubs walls are treated the same. There is no loyalty and there hasn't been for years.

This now is just the next development in football, that's all it is.

Is that supposed to be evidence to support your claim or are you just completely changing the goal posts?

Aren't the current governing bodies just getting a taste of their own medicine.
The quarrel and hypocrisy is in full flow. Football sold its soul years ago resulting in the birth of the PL.

Money is king

David Dein was a key player in the formation of the PL
Kroenke doing the same thing with the ESL
Henry Norris with dodgy dealings back in 1919 at Spurs expense.
George Graham and his back handers over transfers

there's also the irony of mica richards on sunday saying with a straight face about "the fans....woe the fans"

Average players coining it in, owners with dodgy human rights records, quasi dictators (remember shinawatshisname anyone), money launders....all welcomed with open arms to do whatever they like as long as money is made.

friday night fixtures rescheduled for TV at the last minute with fans told "lump it or like it"

also in the ground...£4 for a hotdog, £5 a pint, £70 for a shirt....c'mon who buys this without feeling ripped off?
don't even go into the over the top coverage.."aggguureeeero"

It's great to see all these people squirm it's just a shame they are hiding behind the "fans" and quite a few are falling for it

Do you actually think Arsenal will ever win this league? You're 9th ffs. Kroenke will continue to milk your club dry the only difference is he'll earn more money.
