Saying all the right things. I don't believe any of it.
Sorry that should read *an open letter from the PR dept. of Joel Glazer
This is just the 2nd communication Joel Glazer has had about United since the 2005 takeover.
He did an interview right after the takeover.

But I wouldn’t have had to pen this drivel had Chelsea not pulled out causing a domino effect

Not too different that Henry's liverpool letter
A load of bolx
We continue to believe that European football needs to become more sustainable throughout the pyramid for the long-term.

Cue another crackpot idea next season.
Complete lying wanquers
They’ve all shown their true colours
Greedy, self-serving mercenaries with no respect or consideration to the true supporters of football
I'm not as cynical as you all are.
I don't know if he means it or not, but if he has realised it was a mistake, what else can he say.
It's a lot better than nothing.
Anyway, stick your apology up your inbr@d hillbilly $hitpipe
Can't even be bothered to read it. He can go fck himself

The mistake he's realised is that he can't push with through without the'legacy fans'
He tried to. And if he could have he would have, make no mistake. Same goes for the rest of them. These apologies are pathetic.

It was a miscalculation on his part, not a mistake in the moral sense. What he regrets is the unviability of the scheme, not the attempted disenfranchisement of all the other clubs in the world and their supporters, not the destruction of the principle of genuine competition, and not the profound and arrogant contempt towards the so-called 'legacy fans'. This was a coup attempt. Judge these men by what their stance was when they thought the coup would work, rather than what they say when they're running for cover. MU52, I applaud the instinct to give the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes the facts simply don't justify that.
Jonathan Liew (excellent football writer) put it best with his hot take on the announced SL:

saved me asking, thanks...does put this bit into a little perspective: "We also realise that we need to better communicate with you, our fans, because you will always be at the heart of the club."
as a great philosopher once said, "too much f()cking perspective."
all about as sincere as a politician's apology when caught cheating on his wife, i've let the voters down...most of all i've let myself down yadda yadda
I have just read the letter and he comes across like a really genuine guy who appears to have the club's best interests at heart. Maybe the super league isn't such a bad idea after all as he genuinely is trying to do what's best for us, the fans. I think we all owe Joel and apology.

I am amazed that he has made an apology here.
Whether he means it or not it is now out there and can be seen for what it is which is a backdown forced upon him and his ilk.
We will get a good read of if he has learnt anything here by whom he appoints to take over from Ed.
