I would say that's a pretty bad take on patriotism as a whole. I've never seen it as a problem for people all over the world to celebrate their own country and join in celebrating other people's culture identity. etc. I actually think it's quite healthy. It's natural for humans to have a sense of familiarity and connection to the place they are born. You can love your own country and you can love other country's too. No issue with that at all.

Everyone celebrates St Paddy’s day and the Irish are proud. Americans have their flags plastered all over the streets in the US, they are proud. Why is it so frowned upon when English people are proud? I can only guess it’s the far left liberal lunatics that are the only ones who can’t stand it and despise the country they are from.
