Hope he comes through it OK. His articles in the Athletic are the only reason I subscribe to it.
His article in the Athletic regarding the operation gives the impression he is relaxed and confident that all will be well. Really hope it's not as scary as it initially sounds and he can be back at work sooner rather than later.
He's recording his last podcast today before the operation so will be worth a listen when released on Friday and I'm sure the Square Ball will keep us up to date on his recovery.
Hopefully it all goes well and he comes back better than ever.
Best of luck to him. There's no paywall on his Athletic article:

Jeez - good luck Phil Hay!
Hope all goes well for him. I have always valued his insight on the club and respect him.
Good luck Phil! Get well soon.
Have never understood the people who hate Phil hay.

Hope all goes well for Phil and he comes back with all faculties.

Bluemong?
Obviously wish him the best.
I listen to a lot of podcasts and when I was an outpatient for my own cancer treatment the phil hay show would be the podcast of listen to on the drive home after treatment, it was just the way my listening cycle worked out, just tended to fall that way.
It made the drive easier and much more enjoyable, full of arsenic and it usually put me in a good mood as its a good listen
Good luck Phil. I saw that he was taking time off but didn't realise it was for this. Hope all goes well.
Speaking of podcasts have you heard the That Peter Crouch Podcast with our very own Patrick Bamford as guest.
Obviously comes across really well but its also very funny and a few insights to things that go in the club. Well worth a listen.

Haha great rumour that.
Best wishes to Phil. Hope he has a speedy recovery and is back at work soon. Leeds fans rely on his articles as we know he is someone who can be trusted.
Fantastic writer and broadcaster. The Phil Hay show is my essential weekly pick-me-up on all things LUFC. His writing for The Athletic is outstanding and his output since leaving the YP has been immense. He is a fine researcher and commentator and I wish him and his family a successful battle against this illness..
Best wishes to you Phil - here's to a speedy recovery.
Get well soon Phil, he’s the guy I look to on Twitter for LUFC info. I hope his recovery is speedy and he comes back in good health.
Really nice to see this from Brighton
@TheSquareBall
We’re breaking this weekend’s social media blackout for very good reason…
Phil Hay has been in touch to say his surgery went to plan and he’s now recovering in the LGI.
