I think we’re in a battle for the very soul of the sport; and yes, those fans who live locally - those whose families turned out to support the clubs we are talking about for generations, representing the very platforms for their historical and recent successes - are now engaged in a struggle to prevent a franchise model designed to satiate the global fanbase from depriving their children of the same opportunities.
Make no mistake - that’s where these American cuuuuunts want this to go: United playing in Manchester once a month or so whilst they otherwise tour the world’s continents playing trumped up exhibition matches in the likes of Mumbai, Beijing, Sydney, Rio, Miami and Cape Town.

People in power love peaceful protests, they’re easy to ignore.

There are many ways to protest - try ignoring 20000 fans not renewing season tickets!
Trouble is, protesters don't like doing something that might inconvenience them. Much easier to chuck a brick through a window than make any sacrifice themselves to get their point across.

With a very heavy heart I have deferred renewal of my 2 x Season Tickets for 12 months. I accept that if it wasn't for Covid this option would not be available for me normally and I fully understand the risk I am taking by doing this if and when I apply to renew.
And mark my words these leaches will be back with a revised plan for their ESL quite soon. That is inevitable.
But enough is enough. For me anyway.
If not this then what else?
