I like Potter but show some ambition. How many seasons has he been a prem manager? Or we saying now that experience or pedigree doesn't matter.
It is possible to get a manager that plays progressing football that also has a history of winning things. It isn't mutually exclusive although that's what Jose would have us think.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m pretty sure we’ve should’ve come to the conclusion that winning stuff else where means nothing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
After Jose I have come to the conclusion that most Spurs on here just want pretty football above anything. Above winning trophies too. Alot on here when the thought of Jose potentially winning the league cup would have been disgusted. Some of our fans on here are a joke. LOL
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The poor football under Mourinho would have been tolerated had the results been better.
Fans just want to see nice winning football that will both entertain and win trophies. It's not like you can't have one without the other. We may have won stuff with Poch with nice football had Levy supported him properly.

What and he does
Afternoon Don.
I'd recommend Rafa Benitez, he would turn Spurs around. Football won't great viewing though.
Potter and Parker dynamic duo ,Parker to coach the midfield
Rafa is the only remaining candidate, who has the experience of managing a top European side... plus he has won trophies... who else is there...?
Potter has no experience of managing a top side, though he has done well at Brighton... keeping them up.., but they’ve lost to Sheff Utd, recently
Christophe Galtier at Lille, must be in with a good shout...
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mason in charge next season if we have a strong finish to the season.

That's in an ideal world anyway.
Right now let's just work on the 'playing better football' aspect and take it from there.
Ultimately, no manager is going to really be able to win stuff here without the true backing of Levy, whether it's nice football or not. The last 10 years have shown us that.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Best comment.
People talk about Leicester doing well being 3rd and why would Rodgers leave but their position but is pretty much down to us, Chelsea and Liverpool doing awful.
It says a lot about how bad us, Chelsea and Liverpool have been when West Ham are amongst the fight for a top 4 place.
I am willing to give anybody a chance, but above all I want winning football.
We need to lose this tag of demanding good football but ultimately winning fack all, we have been in that position for 30 years.
As a club, we are not going to keep our best players long term and build a successful team by playing nice football and achieving nothing.
Players like Kane have already said he wants to see silverware, if we just settle for being also rans and see making the CL as success, we may as well just give up.
Of course, with the misery of ENIC and their history of mugging the fans and players off, we should not have any high expectations any time soon.
It all boils down to needing rid of ENIC, or nothing will change. the club is not getting another penny out of me until ENIC either change their ways drastically (unlikely) or disappear altogether.
If I was in Spurs' shoes I'd be doing what I can to try and take Bielsa from Leeds when his contract is up at the end of the season.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who fits this description? The only 'winners' available I can think of are Allegri and Benitez. Both play boring football and haven't managed at the top level for a while.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sadly winning titles requires pragmatism so we Ned to decide what we want to be. Exciting team that gets to finals and win cups or a pragmatic team (NOT defensive like Jose) that wins leagues and regularly competes in all comps.
I think the last game showed clearly that we have a core players who are as good as any, and we only need a manager who can man manage them, coach them, and improve their physical fitness levels.
It isn't all that bad really. A squad that has faltered this season and played well below itself, and yet maintains a position that is close to top 4 and inside of top 6, is a pretty good indictment.
Potter is the obvious choice
Allegri’s Juventus played some great football. Especially with the 3 at the back. The way its looking now. I would like Allegri as coach and Ragnick as DoF.
If Allegri didn’t work Rangnicl would be a ready made interim manager to give us continuity.

Pragmatism and entertainment are not mutually exclusive.
Very few teams play great football and win things. It's usually the clubs who spend loads of money who do the combination of both. We don't spend loads of money and when we do we end up with the likes of Ndombele, Sanchez, Sissoko, Loldado and so on.
So in a way, playing great football and winning trophies is mutally exclusive.

Realistically I’d 100% take Potter. If he could bring Bissouma and Lamptey with him that would be a bonus!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bissouma is a Arsenal fan and wants to play for them. More fool him. Google it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If they don’t get European football he’d be a mug to sign for them. Career has to come before that nonsense, he must have a good relationship with Potter which would help.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
After Sissoko, Aurier, Doherty I don't want any more Arsenal fans wearing our shirt. Yes Bissouma is a good player but there are plenty more DM's out there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The likes of Sissoko, Aurier and Bissouma aren’t proper Arsenal fans, they are guys from France and Ivory Coast who would’ve followed them as their PL club growing up during the early years of Wengers French Revolution, as opposed to someone like Darren Bent who is an actual Gooner.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Abit naive to say someone is not proper fan just because they are born in a different country. But that's a whole new conversation.
Rodgers is the obvious choice. Some of you have said "why would he leave leceister". I think you are selling yourselves short. Leceister are in a great place right now but spurs are a bigger club with bigger resources and even more potential. Add in the london factor for attracting players too.
Rodgers may say hes not interested at the moment, he said the same about us when he was at swansea.
